Keeping in with what you could realistically own prior to the current unrest.I'm in the UK so worst case>I have a double barrel shotgun and some bird shot, still more than a lot of people would have>mid tier I have a decent pump/semi auto shotgun with buck shot or slugs, or a .22 semi auto or both>I have a bolt action rifle in a powerful caliber with enough ammo, plus some sort of cap and ball revolver/ semi auto .22 or shotgun. The main thing being I can shoot both at range and close quarters effectively

And unlike firearms here, there’s no legal limit to how powerful they can be. If your aim is solid a 150lb draw weight, 400fps crossbow will be more lethal than a 22. Guarantee shouldering a big fuck-off crossbow will scare off any roaming bandits armed with shitty little machetes or whatever.

You have no idea what's coming and there's no way to prepare for it. You will be immensely outnumbered.If you were planning on fighting some military force, you're wrong to invest in small arms. They're obsolete against militaries. Even third world ones have drones now. You need to make your own weaponized drones, IEDs, and idk why no one has figured this out yet but an RPG is basically a pipe and model rocket. You can easily built weapons that can shut down vehicles, and even planes if you can get an air drone or guided rocket to move fast enough. Definitely helicopters, and even better when the aircraft is sitting on the ground. Mortars are a very easy concept to work with too. Don't think small, you won't be very formidable with your rifle especially if it's a limited range intermediate rifle which so many of you are obsessed with. Cut the larp and get real, militaries are not an easy enemy.

So really all I need to do is adjust my behaviour. I start carrying my P365 with an extended mag and a reload instead of my Bodyguard 380, maybe I start wearing my vest daily and escorting my wife to work in a convoy. AUG is already in my bedroom and I've got everything pretty dialed in as far as home security goes so no changes there.

And what your ideal would be, you might not have it or it would be difficult to get under your countries laws. It's probably harder for Americans since you can just say 'AR and a Glock' to all three.The Bondi beach shooting got me thinking about it, since they were using manual operation firearms and still caused a lot of deaths.
