Now that the dust has settled... Its time to apologize. Join me in an apology for a pistol was betrayed by its country despite its years of service.. A perfect embodiment of the GWOT era.

Dear Beretta, we regret replacing you with cheap malfunctioning trash.

Dear Beretta, we apologize for feeding you with substandard magazines which caused failure to feed issues.

Dear Beretta, we regret mocking your lack of modularity despite 99% of troops never actually putting modular crap on their service pistol.

Dear Beretta, we apologize for saying you were too big for womens hands, we realize now that women should never have been in the military or even the workplace.

Dear Beretta, the weight of our transgressions stays our /k/ feet. We do not wish to be left behind.

Amen.

To all men listening now, this week, head to your local sports and outdoor and purchase a Beretta M92 variant. Clean it, train with it, learn its functions and maintenance as your own, it will take care of you as well. But do not apologize, as we have all apologized in solidarity here today.

Now go, and sin no more.
>>
I will buy one eventually. I have gunsoomed too much recently though
>>
nothing to apologize for, I said its replacement was unnecessary at the time.

A good gun.

CZ better
>>

Bro we get it, this thread has been made once a week for the past eight months.
>>64641937
I don't think the CZ has the """"""reliability"""""" of the Beretta 92. It would make sense to pick the Beretta over the CZ if you're equipping a large force rather than a small special forces contingent.

I didn't know that Australians were allowed to own pistols
>>
I own both the M9 and its replacement and I can understand why the US Armed Forces decided to replace it since striker fired pistols are the norm now.
I just think that they should have went with Glock or maybe gave S&W a chance
>>
>>64641909
I dont like using that buzzword but I am also tapped out of buying guns for at least half a year
>>
>>64641902
This and the 1911 are the only pistols in my book. I shoot a 92fs for IPSC. It's comfy.
>>
I have a Canik. Inexpensive, holds twice as many rounds, installed a threaded barrel to add a muzzle brake to control sway. And yet, I am not a happy man. My palm yearns for the paracletic comfort of the M9.

Guys I'm always torn between buying a 92fs and an M9. I feel like the 92fs is more prestigious and has done more for our country by protecting our streets from the /nigsurrection/ whereas the M9 is more for the LARP wannabe GWOT gooners. Am I wrong?
>>
>>64642066
If you aren't going to put a light or something on it, just get the FS.
>>
>>64641902
I don't need to apologize, Ive always loved the 92 and own one myself. I've always thought the Shit Saar pistol was ugly and stupid even before all it's issues were revealed. I can't wait to get at least 2, maybe 3 more 92s. I can't wait to have more 92s than I do ARs
>>64642066
The differences between the M9 and FS are minor, as they are both Beretta's base model guns more or less, but allow me to illuminate as I own an M9 over an FS for a few reasons. For one, and this is very minor imo but it make cause you to have an autistic sperg out which is valid, is that the M9 comes with the military markings and no safety labels which is nice and looks super clean. The FS comes with the silly "CAN FIRE WITHOUT MAGAZINE READ MANUAL BEFORE USE" label stamped into the frame of the gun. This can be annoying and tasteless depending on how much autism you have. Another issue, and this one is big imo, is that with an M9 you are GUARANTEED to her a straight frame. With an FS you aren't, as you get whatever frame they have laying around at the time which could be straight or the aesthetically vomit inducing curved frame(check the dust cover area) which ruins the lines of the pistol. The curved frame was made to cope with 40cal bullets and beef up the frame to prevent cracking, but now that 40 is basically gone, it's an antiquated and ugly modification. All the 80s Berettas you are thinking about in your head have straight frames. A lot of guys don't notice this and wonder why their Berettas don't look quite right, this is the reason why. I'd say get the M9, it's cleaner and I don't think anyone will give you grief over some theoretical GWOT larp or whatever

As a unit armorer from ‘93-‘95, I can’t even recall the total number of cracked slides and frame rails we had to replace on those pieces shit. Hilarious thinking back on it when there were still completely serviceable 1911’s built in the ‘50s locked in the back cage in the armory (along with a half dozen M3 grease guns we shook the dust off of once a year at the range).

That Italian piece of shit should have never been deployed as a service piece. And I say that having qualified with it 4 times.

Thanks, anon, that's actually insightful. What's a good price to pay for a new M9 these days? I assume anything <$600 pre tax/fees same as the 90fs?
>>
>>64641902
my M9 has a finish that's starting to wear after less than a year of ownership
what do
>>
>>64642396
the military only required a service life of 25k rounds and then proceeded to shoot the guns way past 25k

>I have gunsoomed too much recently though
If you still don't have some type of 90-series pistol after all these years, can you really say that you've "gun-sumed" at all?
>>
>>64643018
>the military

We had a strict depot-level maintenance schedule, sport. None of the other 10 year old acquisitions had catastrophic failure rates coming even close to those piles of shit, no matter how many times the action had been cycled, or ammunition type.

I can’t speak to other Beretta pistol models, but I can say with absolute certainty the NATO spec M9 is an expensive piece of shit.

I'm pretty sure you're just channeling the anti M9 memes honestly, either that or survivorship bias or whatever it's called. Either way you have 0 evidence of anything wrong with it, there was that one case where a slide broke and hit someone, which the FS fixed.

tl;dr you're either old and bitter or just trolling and can't prove any of the retarded nigger shit you say
>>
WHERE IS HE!?
>>
>>64643018
Why do people actually think this? Lol. POGs shoot literally 80 rounds a year per person through their M9s, there is no supplemental training aside from annual range qualification. Even in the infantry, they don't actually shoot beyond the bare minimum required to complete annual qualification.

I seriously doubt more than 1% of M9s ever actually got pushed to their supposed 25k round limit, since literally every serious unit that might put heavy round counts through their pistols stayed the fuck away from the M9 entirely

berettabros... our response?

Given that it has 0 negative impact on the gun and only promotes smooth ejection and feeding? I guess that's my response.

The grandthumb mudtest... it's over...

I think there was only like one or two handguns that passed
>>
>>64644107
The dust already fell out, sorry sigger but Beretters actually run even without using ammo specifically made for it(still didn't help the sig btw)

>only a couple guns passed this insanely over the top test
Okay? And?
