The META guns all have META attachments, so you end up seeing the same builds (prioritizing ergo first, recoil second, and ignoring every other stat on the gun) over and over with everyone you kill; only the few noobs are ever carrying something interesting, as they haven't memorized the META yet. The devs added a lot of interesting guns and attachments and failed to balance it whatsoever.

You'll be at a pretty significant disadvantage to the players following the META (obviously), 2. It was made by a developer that added tons of QoL improvements so that the game feels less like a chore. In Tarkov, before 1.0's story quests, questing in Tarkov felt like doing chores but never getting any satisfaction from a completed task because every time you're about to finish, they hand you another task that is nearly identical.
