You could try fitting one of those ati .410 uppers on the scr lower, but the bolt head might not fit the carrier the scr needs, and I'd guarantee you'd need to play with recoil springs to adjust the cycling.

Why? If you want a BAR, buy a BAR, if you want a 'modern' BAR, buy one. What is the obsession with the BAR? Yeah it's good in video games, but it's not really that great iRL. KE7 was better. Lahti-Saloranta M/26 was better. W.A.R was better. Bren was better. TKB-336 was better. Johnson LMG 1941 was better (and his rifle was better than the garand).
