Which one should I get? The jakl, oclan, or the classic ar 15. I'm really thinking between the bullpup oclan and the jakl. I'm gonna put a acog on it and if I get the jakl a foregrip but I don't know what to get. I want it for a sorta a marshall law home defense gun. I'm fairly familiar with the the ar platform though but the jakl and oclan seem like they'd be really cool to own. Anybody have experience with the jakl or a how a bullpup shoots compared to a ar for a right handed shooter? I got $1776 burning a hole in my pocket right now.

KISS

keep it simple stupid.

get an AR and bullets to train. spare parts are plenty

jakl and olcan are meme guns. AR is proven and reliable if you get one in spec

Get an AR15 from Bersa
>>
PSA would rather make a $700-$1,000 AK that has no durability and then invest in these worthless memes rather than making one that costs $1,100-$1,500 and works amazingly. Anyone who falls for the Olcan meme deserves to be taken advantage of by that company.

You've been shilling for a while, so I'm going to give your country some props. Argentina makes great churrasco and chimichurri (their guns are dogshit though).

If you don't have an AR currently get an AR. Jakl is neat, but a lot more expensive, doesn't use all standard AR parts that you can get anywhere if something breaks and in exchange for all that money and inconvenience you get a folding stock. That's about it.

The Oclan is new and nobody knows what problems it's inevitably going to have, if PSA will adequately warranty them or what. You are paying full price to be an alpha tester for this product which will sell for ~25% less and probably fewer problems a year later.

Save your money and get a CZ Bren 2 or 3. It will easily outlive anything from PSGay.

Not him but the TPR9 is pretty crom too. Arex mogs it and is around the same price last I checked but Bersa occasionally makes okay guns

Get the M17S instead. Best bullpup to this day.
>>
Get a 10.5" LWRC short stroke piston AR. Make it an SBR and throw a can on it. Best setup in the world.

Get an AR, and next time post this in the QTDDTOT thread.

>I'm fairly familiar with the the ar platform though
Then you've been there and done that and know what you'd be missing if you went for the other options. You clearly have a taste for firearms that are a bit off the beaten path, and if you just go AR, I imagine you'll be kicking yourself later for not getting one of the things you really wanted.
>Anybody have experience with the jakl
Fairly heavy rifle but otherwise shoots great. I agree with other feedback I saw before I got mine: it is a solid piston rifle, looks and feels very nice, and is punching above its price tier.
>or a how a bullpup shoots compared to a ar for a right handed shooter?
I can't speak to the oclan specifically, but in general, bullpups take some getting used to. I would also advise you to get a 16" barrel bullpup as I felt the weight balance was superior with a longer barrel. But yeah once you get used to the ergos, you realize a lot of the shit people say about bullpups is written by people who have never fired a bullpup for more than 1 magazine or less. Yeah no shit your reloads are slow compared to your years of muscle memory with an AR. But guess what, if you reload a bunch of times with the bullpup, it gets faster. Anyway if you don't go with a bullpup now, I do recommend you get one later. They're fun and feel exotic.

Brens are nice but the Jakl has generally held up well. It's been out for a few years now. PSA seems to give it a better quality standard than their bargain bin ARs.
>>64664294
He did say he's familiar with ARs, even if he doesn't own one at present. Presumably just wants something new/exotic. Also while you're right about the oclan being new and untested, PSA does have good reputation for warranty service on other products they make, so I don't see this being much different. That said, warranties can't change shit into not-shit.
