assume law and order is compromised such that frustrating their efforts lawfully through civil political influence is ineffective; what tactics can an uncoordinated civilian population employ in the goal of disrupting these systems and rendering the function and maintenance of these cameras unprofitable? >yeah but at least pablo #3851048 recklessly driving his shitbox corolla without insurance or documentation might get caught sooner it's indiscriminate surveillance. have fun dealing with some hotdog neck cop pointing a gun at you or your family or even possibly catching a pointless arrest record that voids your CPL because a proprietary computer vision program from some faggy company is "sufficiently confident" that you committed a crime based on a few dozen or so pixels
forgot subject: how to passively or directly resist the encroachment of flock cameras?

The direct approach involves vandalism or hacking the device. Both of which can result in a litany of legal problems if discovered. Which is increasingly likely given how much data the device collects.I'd be curious to more remote approaches where you can better ensure your anonymity. But a spray can could be a feasible option to disrupt it.
>>64664358maybe this is a crackpot idea but what about drones that can spray some sort of viscous substance over the lenses? legally questionable but it wouldn't be permanent or destructive, it would constitute one hell of a nuisance
>>64664363I'd say a decent option as contractually the person/group utilizing the camera are not supposed to maintain, modify, etc the equipment. This would force someone either from Flock or a contractor to be called out to address it.
>>64664334Most police run some sort of trunked radio. My area has standardized on P25. Most police cruisers have some sort of AVL (automatic vehicle locator) that reads GPS and sends vehicle location to dispatch.>small magnet mounted device>ras pi?>battery powered>random sustained pulses of GPS interference>random pulses that fuck with the P25 control channelOr, if you really want to fuck things up>small device>magnet powered>opticom trigger at random intervals>on front bumper>on every 5th vehicle in Home Depot or Costco parking lot
>>64664369>This would force someone either from Flock or a contractor to be called out to address it.Flock pays bottom-of-the-barrel to their installersLess than $25 / hr.I doubt they have a team of ready to roll field service engineers.
>>64664363simply putting something opaque on the solar panel would incapacitate it once the small battery ran outno doubt they have some automated system to alert maintainence to them, but I wonder how the maintenence contracts work with these city/countyobviously the proper and legal route would be to petition your local government every chance you can
Brits in rural areas would hang a tyre around speed cameras, fill the tyre with gas, and cleanse the camera with fire.

> because a proprietary computer vision program from some faggy company is "sufficiently confident" that you committed a crime based on a few dozen or so pixelsIn my experience Flock is a lot more likely to say "I dunno what the fuck this is" when the image is any less than perfect. I constantly have to tell it to give me all images regardless of whether it thinks there is a readable plate in the picture. Anyways it's a great tool so the angle that it is ineffective is a bad one to take, it being indiscriminate surveillance is probably a lot better an angle to fight it. Regardless of method used, having a lot more people on board with combating it will make it much easier.
