Note that even combat arms can apply to become a technical warrant (131A). I wouldn't say there's a "best" MOS, as each branch is different, but anything that has you working in close contact with other warrant officers, performing technical duties, and displaying competence in your MOS will be better for the tech warrant side of the house. Flight warrant applicants who are already serving sometimes have issues getting a letter of recommendation from a warrant, especially if they don't serve with very many warrant officers in their assigned unit, but don't let that dissuade you.
Warrants typically make it to 20 because they're typically past the grade at which they may retire when they hit 20 years. Afaik they can retire at CW2, which is practically an automatic promotion, and most are already at 8-10 years' service by the time they put on the dot.
Commissioned officers (except prior enlisted) must either get SELCON or be selected for promotion to O-5 to retire. This is one of the causes of stress for the O-4 population, as they must get good evals and become promotable for their career to have been worth it. It's more rare these days but there is a real risk of getting shown the door at 18 years if you aren't competitive enough at that time.

Not exactly, but they have an advantage and a disadvantage.
You need 10 years as an officer to retire as an officer if you commission from enlisted. Meaning, if you commission at E-6 and do 8 years to hit your 20, you will (afaik) retire as an E-6, even if you hit CPT or MAJ at that point.
On the flip side, this means you don't have to deal with the nonsense rat race of making it to O-5 Select before 20 in order to retire, and can happily chill out as a MAJ or senior CPT rather than being forced to suck off your senior rater for an MQ. Additionally, from O-1 to O-3, a prior enlisted service member with at least 4 years' time in service gets O-1E to O-3E pay, which is a fair bit higher than what a standard commissioned officer would make at those grades.
What this means for you is that you need to crunch the numbers to determine if and when commissioning would be worth it, and especially consider the type of retirement plan you're on.

The Army flight warrant program (WOFT) is specifically for pilots. A quick google search could have told you so. Do note that after finishing the 2-year training pipeline, you incur a 10 year active duty service obligation (ADSO).
The concentration of warrants depends on your unit. An infantry battalion might have a handful, but some MI, signal, or cyber units have shit tons and you might work with them every day.

I'm going in as 35T with a 5 year contract and nearly 1 year will be spent in training so I'm anticipating a serious commitment here, I figure why not consider making a career out of the military if its possible for me.
Maybe I'll get to my first unit and change my mind but I hope not.
