if you need one of these to shoot, you dont know how to shoot
>>
>get good with irons first
>dot makes you even better
OP do you have an internal monologue? Or does every lack of self awareness thought you have need to exclusively be externalized?
>>
>>64671763
You’re brown
>>
post a gun you own
>>
>>64671763
anon, it's not about "shooting", it's about showing off the right accessories on social media to prove you're a member of the cool clique.
>>
>>64671966
Have you shot with a dot, anon? Or shot at all?
>>
You're all sick people.
I hope you all get cancer. Fuck youse all.
I put a curse upon you all.

Does anyone else feel like dots are harder (or at least more annoying) to shoot with, compared to good night sights? I keep debating whether or not I should just sell my RMR

post groups, OP

Dots are way easier, maybe consult some literature and training videos to learn how to use the red dot
>>
>>64672141
are you retarded?
>>
>>64671763
Your accuracy and speed will improve tremendously if you use a dot vs sticking with irons. Even at self defense ranges. I was doubtful about it being faster up close until I took a Modern Samurai Project class.
Get a decent dot and put some time in training with it and you won’t want to go back.
>>64672141
You need to look up techniques on how to find the dot faster and go practice them. It’s way quicker to find one thing than two.
>>
Any good dots for mild astigmatism? It's really not bad, just pistol dots seem to be way worse than rifle dots for me
>>
>>64672149
>>64672155
>>64672171
Maybe I am retarded, but when raising the gun, I just feel like it's easier to correct my aim with three dots or something. fwiw this is a full size metal frame handgun with a relatively heavy 9" suppressor on it
>>
>>64672179
My Acro P2 and 507Comp are better for my astigmatism than my EPS Carry (which is in green). This goes against what the internet typically says, so unfortunately, I think you just have to go and test for yourself.
>>
>>64672179
I have a mild astigmatism and my RMR definitely isn't the best for it. Mine is mild enough that I don't have to care, but I wouldn't recommend it for you
>>
>>64672180
Ah I see.

You need to build up the index, that you look at a target, draw on the target, the red dot is already there. No need to look for it. Learning this also helps a lot for irons.

Literally just practice drawing the gun in a consistent manner, it takes a while to get this down but it’s a solid piece of technique that you need for irons or a dot. Relying on looking on your sights to align it for the target is a crutch and makes you slower.

All eyes are different
>RMR HD
Pretty bad actually, crank the brightness up and the entire window is bright red for me

Nearly perfectly round
>Romeo X
Nearly perfectly round

Bad, Horizontal bar star shape
>RMR type 2
Not that bad
>>
>>64672216
Also the acro is also perfectly round for me too
>>
>>64672216
Thanks anon I should just go to my gun store and see some in person.
>>
>>64672141
>you
Youre too retarded to benefit from the information the dot provides and your index is shit/you are not target focused if you cant find the dot

When you aim with a dot it can either come into your view from above or below the housing as long as you keep your pistol centered on the target after you draw. When you’re bringing the gun up alloy force to the bottom of the grip with your non dominant hand to level the gun so that the dot will come into view from the bottom as you’re raising it.

Also, next range day start at the 3 yard line. Treat it like you’re “point shooting” and use the window of your optic to get a gross sight picture. Don’t worry about the dot, up at 3 yards you should be able to get center mass hits using just the window. When you do this you’ll notice yourself picking up the dot and trying to use it automatically, this is a good thing and will help you learn to index the gun and acquire the dot quicker.
>>
I don't need a mattress to fall asleep but it's certainly a nice thing to have since I can afford it. Have you tried getting a job, OP?
>>
Dots let you shoot further and better. After watching someone hit with irons at 30 yards and then switch to a red dot at 60 yards and preform roughly the same I am going to say they are a skill multiplier.
>>
can’t help noticing that OP still hasn’t posted groups

be me
worker for an unnamed shipping company
night shift december hell
warehouse smells like cardboard coffee and broken dreams
see label says firearm parts or ammo or gun case
heart does that tight thing
never owned one
rent eats paycheck
xmas bonus is a candy cane and a smile
remember being told maybe next year kid
every year same song
so when nobody is looking
i get festive
piss bottle from the cab goes right down the side of the case
just a little holiday cheer
sometimes i drop kick it across the concrete
hear that hollow thunk like a sleigh bell
ho ho ho
imagine some guy opening it christmas morning
wondering why it smells like despair and monster energy
manager says handle with care
i say i am handling my feelings
angels on the radio sing
forklifts beep like reindeer
i wrap another box in spite
tape gun goes brrrr
someone taped a santa hat to the scanner
i scan your freedom tube and give it a gentle punt
nobody saw a thing
snow outside
coal in my heart
clock hits midnight
i wash my hands and punch out
merry christmas /k/
may your tracking say delivered
and may your package remember me

>You need to build up the index, that you look at a target, draw on the target
This is the exact same thing you should be doing for irons btw. I like dots, battery life and durability is a non-issue these days and it makes transitions ridiculously easy.

I know OP is just being a b8ing faggot, but there are still people out there who unironically think this. Blows my mind, and I have over a dozen handguns and only one has an optic.
