I got tired of scrubbing, scrubbing and scrubbing these titanium suppressor baffles and I don't have any fancy tumblers or parts cleaners. I'm trying the vinegar hydrogen peroxide dip for the first time and wondering what you guys think about this. Does it work or is it a waste of time?/nogunz need not participate
Any acid powerful enough to dissolve lead is going to eat your suppressor too. There is really nothing you can do to clean those disgusting 22lr cans besides scraping the stuff off.Really we should all be using disposable 5$ 3D-printed suppressors for 22LR.
>>64673020Well I'm not putting the aluminum tube in there with it but I understand the concern, probably not the safest thing. I've been looking into 3d printing a bit lately but I know nothing about it. Do you just make the rimfire tubes from plastic or the whole thing?
>>64673006Have you tried ultrasonic cleaning?
it works but it creates lead acetate which is toxic and shouldn't be poured down the drain.
>>64673006This makes mustard
>>64673414no but I'm probably gonna break down and go to harbor freight in the future for one because this isn't worth it. >>64673422I'm more adventurous than I should be when it comes to dealing with chemicals. I let it do it's magic for a while and it removed most of the lead, except for the bottom baffles where it was a bit more fouled. It certainly does a good job compared to the other stuff I tried but I'd rather not go through this process again. Isn't worth the risk to my health or the hassle.I dumped the solution into a jar of kitty litter and bagged it up to be disposed later.
Dude, an entry level ultrasonic is dirt cheap. If you can afford to shoot enough to gunk up your can you can afford an ultrasonic. They're magical and you can use them for everything, not just guns.
