Moldova has a bad zigger problem though, the elections can be dicey and politicians and priests respond to Russian money and some voters to Russian propaganda. Ukraine rolling through would be very antagonistic to many Moldovans and make life hard for Maia Sandu.It would also cause some constitutional problems because the government isn't allowed to permit foreign forces on its territory so it has to be done against their will, this makes them look weak, enrages the ziggers but also some patriots and complicates EU accession. And then you have to consider how that group of Transnistrians would vote as Moldovan citizens and act as a fifth column or zigger partisans, they're a poison pill.There's a lot of thorny problems with Transnistria. Russia knew what they were doing when they tied that Gordion Knot.Personally, I'd like to see Moldova and Ukraine siege it and ambush and detain any patrolling elements to thin their numbers until the military becomes unable to consistently patrol their borders. In which case, local leaders can be black bagged and tried in Chisinau. However Moldova probably plans to wait until the Ukraine War is over so that Russian support will be at its minimum and possibly non-existent.
