That was fast shipping!
I'm not going to take it to the range until I get the Wolff spring to finish working in the model 36 (so I can test then both), but I really like the way it feels. The trigger is a little tiny but scratchy but it's brand new. It's insanely easy to stage (that guy who said that was completely right.). It feels perfect in the hand. It really isn't that heavy and I can pocket carry it without a holster. The trigger is heavy, but for what I want I wouldn't want it much lighter.
I'm thinking of getting the wood inserts for the grip, but I'll wait until next billing cycle, I've bought enough shit for a bit

>>
>>64674996
It looks more like dried up grease residue than rust. Don't default to fucking around with sandpaper. Have you tried solvent or CLP yet? If it's stubborn, detail atrip it carefully and let the parts soak in CLP a while then try to rub it off with a patch, work your way up to a nylon then brass brush if needed.
>>

I was gifted one for free and now I'm obligated to try it out. No idea how old the gun is so I'll have to send it in to SIG for an upgrade I think. I really want to buy a flux for it too.

Will my 100% reliable PX4C become less reliable if I send it to get milled for an RMR HD and put a flat trigger in it like OP?
>>
>>64675428
I'm OP and my PX4 Compact has never malfunctioned, I have gotten light strikes but that was when I was using a light hammer spring. It was super light, no idea how but I was getting a 99.9 reliable 4.5 pound DA pull, if I exclusively used soft primer ammunition then I would have no issue.
>>
>>64675362
The 320 really could have been the ultimate handgun, but they fucked up being stuck up shitheads IT DOES NOT HAPPEN AND IT ENDS NOW bullshit was just cringe and untrue. If they had just admitted that there was an issue and fixed it they would have been the darling of gun nuts everywhere and had all the military contracts in the world.
>>
>>64675463
yeah that was retarded and I wouldn't carry a P320. But for a custom range toy it mogs absolutely everything under 2011 price. To be fair, its still picking up tons of military contracts everywhere

The ergos and trigger are really nice on the 320, obviously the trigger came at a cost. Not sure I would call it peak striker though. It's still made really cheap. The finish is really bad for a duty gun.
>>
>>64675883
Doesn't affect any of my other guns that I carry so it's a PX4 skill issue I'm afraid
>>
I have a chance to buy a LTT USPc off an associate. I wanted a p30 since I carried a p30sk a while back, but I have no idea what they changed from the USPc to p2000 to p30, aside from magazines going from 13 to 15 rounds.

Alternatively, he also has an LTT px4 fullsize that he doesn't want any more. Aside from HK fanboyism, is there any reason to choose the much older HK model over the px4?
>>
>>64676121
IMO the PX4 full-size is kind of mid, just doesn’t have the magic. I’ll have seriously look at them again but my opinion probably won’t change. The PX4 compact shoots extremely well for its size, the PX4 full-size shoots well but has a lot more competition in its size class. Probably why your associate doesn’t really care for it either.

LTT HK USPs have the gray guns short reset kit and a polished standard trigger, not the match kit, to retain the more positive reset of the standard trigger versus the match. The USP compact probably has a lot more cool factor going for it.
>>
>>64676121
you would chose the USPc over the PX4 becasue you want a USP not a PX4. both are fine handguns great even. both have the LTT upgrades so that doesnt factor in but really it comes down to which do you want and like more both will serve you well as they have me. But I am curious as to why your associate wold be selling both of these nice ass pistols, is he broke?

My local surplus store had a galco holster for the M9 for 80 bux. I'm quite pleased.
>>
Anyone here rock shoulder holsters? Since its winter and I usually wear a large (not really bulky) jacket i think it could work out. Summer time i usually wear a button up shirt so im not sure if it'll work out. I really want to carry a 92FS but this bitch is somehow larger than a 1911
>>
>>64676373
I posted just before you and got a GALCO holster for my 92 the other day. I had one for my USP for quite some time. IMO it works well enough, but I find the downward (vs rearward) facing holders work best for reducing it's imprint, and also not zipping up your jacket is the best option.
>>
>>64676382
Oh shit, didn't even notice. Think I'll be buying that. And yeah I always keep my jacket open (zipper is fucked anyways) since my current carry gun is appendix carry and it would interfere with drawing
>>
>>64676369
That damn thing has probably been sitting in that store for 10 years. XD
>>
>>64676373
I have a Craft Holster rotoholster for my 4 inch SP101. I like it, but rarely use it because you need a cover garment and I live in Texas so I NEVER wear layers. I feel like I'm wearing a damn bra when I run it too.
>>
>>64674943
Send it to TJ's custom with a blank check, he'll know what to do.
>>
>>64676191
Px4 anon always vastly overstates the difference between the fullsize and compact. The GSD and compact are virtually identical. There's simply no metrics that differentiate the two that aren't "feels, magic, vibes."
The compact will appendix carry more comfortably. If you have more experience shooting a g19 sized pistol then you may consider that a contributing factor in your decision.
Inox compact does look (objectively) cooler ngl.
>>
>>64676398
I don't really like craftholster. I bought one for my PPK but it was completely undersized. I get you have to break in holsters but there's 0 way it will fit
>>
>>64676373
I use a Galco classic lite when wearing a coat/parka, I love it. If things are getting sketchy you can partially unzip and get a proper grip and be ready to draw and people will just think you're crossing your arms. I use a glock 26 for this, the balance is perfect with a 15rd spare mag on the right and it conceals perfectly. You just can't take your coat off.
>>
>>64676373
I carry a Hi Power in a Galco Miami holster year round. It's the best way to carry imo. It can be done with just a simple overshirt for warmer months which gives you a lot more outfits that it works with.
>>
>>64676453
Isn't the compact a stupidly short barrel, like 3.25"? My p30sk had one of those, and it nerfed velocity enough that 115gr training loads would not get a bianchi plate to swing up high enough to lock back. I know this is not a barometer of anything useful, but it was surprising how much that .75" of barrel mattered for velocity.
>>
>>64676369
you'd better grow a curly-ass mullet and and get a black about-to-retire cop as a side kick while you fight international crime across the sprawling metropolis of los angeles.

alternatively, have a receeding hairline and a gut as you throw g*rmans out of buildings in downtown los angeles.

either one of these things is fine, but it will be exactly one of these things.
