Whats a reasonable distance to shoot deer at? Youtube has guys shooting deer anywhere from 200 to 1000 yards with rifle setups that cost north of $5k

Im looking to get a 6.5prc rifle for deer/bears...maybe elk? But what one should i get and how far should i practice at?

if you don't even know the answer to your first question you're wholly unqualified to start long-range shooting animals from 1000 yards nigga.

you don't WANT to shoot anything from that distance either, the chance of a miss or the animal moving between the trigger pull and the impact are pretty high. you want 200 yards or less, ideally under 150 yards to be sure you blow its heart or lungs out quickly.
