What happened

Why didn't the Venezuelan see the Chinooks coming?
>>
no one liked maduro so he and the chain of command were most likely not informed of stuff happening in real time on purpose. not even chinks liked maduro though they were courteous enough to tell him the us was going to invade the day before.
>>
>>64710367
they were looking for F-22s, duh

nobody expected chinooks instead
>>
>>64710367
The relevant sensors were dust by the time the chinooks were airborne. Cmon nigger, we use the same playbook every time we invade a country, this shouldn't need explained.
>>
>>64710390
nah, it's simply that Chink and Russian shit doesn't work
>>
>>64710367
Because they are poor, anon. Like really, really poor. Nigeria poor.

thats literally the only visually confirmed loss of a patriot launcher, and theres another one of a radar. compared to... oh yeah
>>

The US don't claim Patriot is "the best air defence systems in the world" like every new Russian piece of shit that comes out to separate gullible thirdies from Billions of dollars

Interesting how they shoot d

>>
>>64710555
Isn't it, though? Maintaining a 0% loss rate forever is obviously not possible, name a system that has proven itself better
>>
What happened to "The US will have another Vietnam in Venezuela" cope?

Hasn't SAMP-T done better? Granted it's a tiny sample size because there's only 3 of them or some shit.
>>
>>64710499
You really compare 4 year attrition war with ukraine unable to reliably get hardware and munition for patriots
And almost 50 years of stockpiling AA for it to fail to do the only job it should?

Because in a coordinated attack, BVR is pretty good when it's actually accurate and you know, works like it's supposed to, instead of not at all.
>>
>>64710603
a chink delegation literally went to venezuela the day before
>>
>>64710570
It might be, but it doesn't need to be said. If a NATO system doesn't meet criteria set out by the government funding it's development, it (usually) gets cancelled as a waste of taxpayer's money
Russians set their performance criteria, then simply lie about test data when the system doesn't live up to expectations

I wonder if that’s part of the reason for the operation, to scare the shit out of the Chinese while grabbing Maduro?
>>
>>64710645
I think it's more to fuck with Putin than Xi
Maduro has more in common with the former than the latter

And yet western cold war table scraps still outperformed all top-of-the-line slavshit. Curious.
>>
>>64710390

The radars where likely blown up from range just like most of the anti air systems.
>>
>>64710584
On that Vietnam subject, I think there's a major crux there. After 'Nam, the US realized that SAMs had been a huge problem, and developed tactics and hardware to deal with them effectively. The Russians on the other hand looked at the same result, gave themselves pats on the back, and smugly sat around for another 50 years content in the presumption that they had it all figured out and things would work out the same way next time. Clearly we're seeing the results of that gap.
>>
>>64710367
They should've upgraded to premium on their flightradar24.
>>
>>64710390
>not even chinks liked maduro
Cope. Chinese lost major supporter in Western hemisphere. If chinks try to take Taiwan now, USA won't have a Chinese vassal in their backyard anymore. Time is ticking for China as their military aged population taps out and they end up like the Japanese, old and retired. China can't take Taiwan with an aged population past 2030.
>>
>>64710367
>Why didn't the Venezuelan see the Chinooks coming?

Their "Flight Tracker " subscription expired.
>>
>>64710390
>>64711278
It's fucking cataclysmic for chinks. If (when) a new leader is installed, they'll default on the $60b chink loan and the shadow fleet will stop sending Venezuelan oil to them.
>>
I'm more surprised about the lack of MANPADs. We have videos of helis just flying above the city, perfect cargets for them. Dozen of small groups equipped in Iglas or something, scattered through the city would be at least a bump for the operation.
No gun based AA either.
>>
>>64711324
My guess is the iglas were locked up in some warehouse that got blown up before the helis showed up.
>>
>>64711201
SAMs only worked in 'Nam because the fucking faggots in charge refused to SEAD them, because what if some poor rusky gets vaporized while "advising" the ground crew.
>>
>>64711324
>“I think we had nobody killed … [but] a couple of guys were hit” and a helicopter was hit “pretty hard,” Trump added, but did not elaborate.
I think one guy managed to get a shot off
>>
>>64710367
The same way the US knew exactly where Maduro was and how to infiltrate and extract the president of an entire country in 3 hours: People on payroll
>>
>>64710390
>no one liked maduro so he and the chain of command were most likely not informed of stuff happening
Or the military was both informed by the US beforehand, and had their radars blown the fuck up. Let the local military preserve some credibility so they can run the interim government
>>
>>64711395
>Let the local military preserve some credibility
They just had the one guy they were all geared to protect stolen from them from under their noses!!

The only "credibility" they have left is the fact they have guns and others don't. They're a joke and everyone there know it.

>>

>>
>>64711324
Anon these fucks don't trust their soldiers, nor their militias, not really. The country is essentially starving, even with benefits given to the military, it'd be easy for individual soldiers to turn, as has happened before, with a squad of guys stealing a helicopter and lobbing grenades. I highly doubt they have enough people they trust to spread out a bunch of MANPAD-equipped squads around the city.
>>
>>64710367
Another thing to be said is that many of them didn't even like him.
>>
>>64710623
More likely that it was one (of many) factors in deciding the operations date. Doing it a day after the chinks were there is a fuck you to them too.

Vatnik and Chink export equipment is trash. Maybe their domestic stuff is a bit better but both countries know that their clientele are a bunch of third-world non-US-aligned states so they build it to the lowest possible spec.

>>
>>64710367
Regardless of how you feel about this politically, it's pretty fucking impressive. We Tom Clancy'd that motherfucker. Whether it serves an actual purpose for "regime change" or whatever the fuck the goal is, it's technically impressive that we scooped Maduro up and had him on a boat bound for America in less than 2 hours. Pretty sure that was the goal more than anything...to show that we can and will.
>Fuck your air defenses
>Fuck your Chinese intelligence
>We Tom Clancy now
>>
>>64710390
They couldn't give up Maduro like that because he's gonna snitch on all of them and they're all gonna end up becoming direct targets. And that's not counting what he's gonna do to all the politicians in Latin America if he opens his mouth.
