It's barely visible, but her thumb does hit it at the same time her other fingers touch the carry handle.
>>64710546The M16 doesn't have a bolt handle. Git.
>>64710553Then what gun is that? An AR?
>>64710600Git out, noguns. You made the same thread a few days ago. Lurk moar, poast less.
>>64710659Nah, that was someone else. Probably the same person I stole the webm from on /tv/.
>>64710662Why are you posting this?
>>64710706Well, one: I want to know what kind of gun this is if it is not an M-16, when it damn well looks like an M-16.Second: I want to know if what she is doing with her thumb is normal. She's clearly doing it to keep the magazine from sliding out.
>>64710746Hello fren. Beginner shooter here. I have some 200 hours of AR15 training and have never seen anyone to operate the charging handle this way. I just tried it at home and it is straight up impossible. Also it looks like she is reloading; in that case you only need to hit the bolt release button.
>>64710807Yeah it's really weird the showrunners decided to draw attention to such a strange thing.>Inb4 "Stranger Things" pun
>>64710546That's her flipping over her magnifier so she can see the monster she's shooting at.
Her thumb is going where the bolt release is and so it's not necessarily an inaccurate reload for pantomiming it but it's a very very weird way of doing it.
>>64710746Releasing bolt with her thumb using fingers on carry handle for leverage
>>64711123>>64711118Yeah, just it's a very weird way of doing it for a girl with hands that size.
>>64711118>>64711123finally some non retarded people on /k/
>>64711133Her hand strenght has to be non existant, shes using her whole arm as leverage
>>64711145Yeah even still she'd probably do it better by punching it with the side of her hand or something.
>>64711147She may have gotten concerned slapping the gun might have thrown off her gun's position.
>>64711200yeah you need pin point accuracy to hit the fucking building sized target that you're just trying to distract anyway>>64711118>>64711123other than it being a really silly way to do it it it's also impossible to see while the footage is playing normally due to the gloves so it just looks like she's fiddling with the carrying handle, real head scratching decision choreography wise
>>64711240Well she isn't a professional and she's no doubt scared as hell. She's still a civilian.
>>64711200That would only happen if you were truly limp-wristing it or had no leverage whatsoever but the stock is in her armpit and she's clearly twisting her right wrist to provide counterforce.>>64711240Yeah it is just a weird choreography moment. I also wanna note I've checked this dumbass clip like twenty times and she doesn't actually 'pump' the charging handle like I've seen some morons say.
I think yalls should be happy shes actually sorta operating the gun, and not just perma emptying the mag for 6 different shots and 600 rounds straight.
>>64711281I literally never notice that shit, but I absolutely notice when they try and show gun operation that doesn't actually make sense.
>>64711281Honestly I don't mind her using the gun with some degree of moderate competence (considering she isn't all that trained in guns compared to a soldier).
>>64711289>I absolutely notice when they try and show gun operation that doesn't actually make sense. But it does sort of make sense? It's not Heat level cinema reloading but it's not impossible.
>>64710553>bolt handleAnon, cut him some slack. Some yuros refer to the charging handle as the bolt handle. It's an honest mistake since his country probably only lets him shoot bolt actions.>>64710600>Then what gun is that? An AR?>>64710746>Well, one: I want to know what kind of gun this is if it is not an M-16, when it damn well looks like an M-16.It is a Colt XM177E2. Colt would make a short M-16 carbine for special forces long before the US adopted the M4.
>>64711118>>64711123Wrong, she clearly didn’t have her hand on the charging handle, as you can see in pic related, the correct way to charge it
>>64710546Wtf is she doing with her hand? If she was covering the ejection port to keep debris out then that makes sense.>trained special forces get btfo vs quirky teenagers I hate modern writing so fucking much.
>>64714324>trained special forces get btfo vs quirky teenagersThat's literally been a trope since forever, you dumb zoomer.
>>64710546She is pushing the bolt release lever with her left thumb while using her fingers against the carry handle for additional leverage. Normally you can just use the palm of your hand to slap the bolt release for the same effect, but this would work just fine.>>64710746It's a shorter carbine version of the M16, probably an XM177 or a CAR-15. Basically a proto-M4.She isn't doing it to keep the magazine from falling out. The empty magazine has already fallen out, a new one has been seated, that motion is to release the bolt (which had previously locked back when the last magazine had run empty) so that it can strip the first shot from the magazine, thereby pushing it into the chamber and allowing the rifle to resume firing. On a closed bolt firearm such as an AR-15/M16/M4/CAR-15 you need a cartridge in the chamber FIRST in order for it to be fired, the powder cycling the bolt back, ejecting the case, and cycling the gun for the next shot.If you reload before the rifle is empty you just change magazines and then you're good.If you run it to empty a tab on the follower of the magazine trips the bolt hold open. In that case you need to change the magazine and then manually release the bolt as you see in the video clip.If for some reason it's empty but the bolt ISN'T locked back you'd need to use the charging handle which on the AR-15 family is a separate T-shaped component more towards the back of the carry handle. The alternative is open bolt operation where the bolt is locked back when ready to fire, and is released by the trigger. You typically see that on SMGs and belt fed machine guns.
>>64711145>>64711147In the first like 2 seasons this girl's actress was actually anorexic if I remember right.
>>64712114>be me>13 years old>checking out my friend's airsoft m4>pull on the bolt handle like in cs 1.6>it pops off and he gets mad at meStill makes me laugh
>>64716413>bolt handleForward assistTime marches on but I'm still retarded
>>64714949>has never seen any movie from the 80's>calls other zoomerOh I'm laffin.
