>Iran’s AD failed
>Russia’s AD fails on the regular basis
>Venezuela’s AD failed
>Countless Russian planes have been shot down by western systems
Why can’t non western countries into AD or aviation?
>>
Aren’t they all Soviet designed? Communist tech fails like communist states, kek

They don't actually care about their people dying in droves.
>>

The engineering know-how, political will, and accumulation of wealth and resources needed to develop modern aircraft and missiles requires a well educated, high trust society.
>>
>>64717838
Can I see the planes
>>
>>64717838
Does Venezuela even have(or had) any AD in the first place?

And the best Chinese Radar they could get! A radar so advanced it can track the F-22 according the China :D

Because you need far more than just air defenses to protect your airspace. Even if Iran/Venezuela had the best Western made air defenses, they still get crushed.

>And the best Chinese Radar they could get! A radar so advanced it can track the F-22 according the China :D
I've yet to see hard evidence of this.

The practical application is complex. You competency on every level from the teams manning the hardware to the officers planning deployment and coverage and rotations. If tou don't have robust procedures and well-drilled teams, they are going to fuck up their 10s decision-makimg window and be incapable of launching or they will manage to launch, but only at civillian aircraft. If the officer corps fails at coverage then the AD more holes that it shouls have. The logic following coverage ia universal so the enemy can look at the map, do the math and reach the same conclusions. The most optimal positions will be under the heaviest scrutiny. With limited AD they can surmise a most likely uncovered, yet viable routes for air insertions etc.

tl;dr ground AA is inherently limited and has a high skill-floor

Whatever happened to all those missiles Putin sent Maduro?
>>
you're implying if they had patriots and nasams that they'd do any better.

hint: they wouldn't.
>>
>>64717838
you forgot Assad's
Russian hardware + mass corruption = total failure
>>
The idea that one man and one console is all that can launch a nuclear strike is a meme and a bad one at that.

>Why can’t non western countries into AD or aviation?

Memes aside nobody was even trying, if they were you'd have seen the skies light up with tracers like Baghdad. This makes it obvious that the CIA was finally unleashed all those years after Bush Jr told them to chill out with the Chavez assassination attempts.

Is apparently based on this image.

Most western countries have much worse air defense than that, but they have better friends than Venezuela has.
My nogunz euro country has literally no air defense and Trump could fly in on Air Force One, drive to the house of our prime minister in a black van, pick him up, drive back to the airport, and leave again. It probably wouldn't end well for the US, from a diplomatic or economic point of view, though.
>>
>>64719923
Your Euro country probably hasn't been antagonizing the US for years though.
>>

Implessive

Funnily enough, the Soviet-made AD in Ukraine was enough to stop Russia from gaining air superiority.

The Maduro Gov literally wouldn't let most of the troops in Caracas be ready and prepared due to fear of them using their gear on the government.
>>
It looks like they fired some MANPADS, but they were ineffective.
>>
>>64719919
even if the claims on the box are true (kek), it can still be jammed and it's still a big bright target for HARMS. and antennas for its frequency range can't physically fit into most seeker heads, so the best it can do is just give its operators a few seconds' notice how fucked they are
>>
Was Vietnam the only time eastern AA was broadly effective?
>>
>>64721090
I don't know why people think these are APKWS and not regular Hydra-70s

It's what led to the development of modern Wild Weasel tactics, so probably.

Can't be true since US is the market leader

At least one did.

What layer of the onion is being a friendly member of the international rules based order?
>>
>>64717838
All static defense fails. Turns out just sitting there, waiting for enemy aircraft to get in range and turning on your radars to shoot just gets you lit up by ARMs.
They would have done better trying to dogfight the Americans with shitty old migs. Not good, mind you. But better.
>>
>>64727049
Avoiding high-threat situations unless there is a tactical advantage.
>>
>>64719895
Not really, western systems are automated beyond belief. Once you determine you're under attack, you can order an orangutan to press big button that says "defend" and the system starts firing on recognized threats. Ofc receiving data from multiple radars and AWACS is going to help, but attacking missiles and planes are to quick for human intervention. You just pray that all the civilian aircraft are long gone from the zone and activate the machine spirit.

Old soviet AA was based on substantial skill of the operator, meaning private slutsky was going to perfect AA trickshots against aerial targets after 5 years of training, only to die from aids shortly after, never passing this knowledge to the next in the line.

All the tech was created 30-50 years ago. Back when the US was an affluent, educated, high-trust society. It's LosTech now.
>>
>>64717838
This weapons usually work but recent examples are literary fighting master class of SEAD missions both Israel and U.S are extremely advanced in such missions and I believe that fight with any other country could actually bring some more casualties to attacking side
>>
>>64728946
People forget how few countries have fired an anti radiation missile in anger.
I think the British or the French might be able to hack it too given they've trained with the US and actually have at least a dixie cup of real world experience.
Meanwhile basically no one in REDFOR has anything remotely comparable experiment wise
>>

oh the humanity
wont someone think of the fiberboard ceiling tiles that will need to be put back up
and that glass door? oy vey
can't be cheap

What about Pakistan's AD? That seems to work reasonably against India.
