That's how they can get a stealthy planform to do high alpha in a controlled manner, a human just can't. You can compare that to an F/A-18E that has a higher thrust to weight but you can't tell because the Super Hornet has a lot of drag inducing systems to give pilots high alpha control without as much computer assistance, and it's not stealth to boot.
