>>64735932Why a V? Why not just find a Gen5 or Gen6?
>>64735960Literally all I know about guns is that they shoot bullets. What's the difference between V, Gen5 and Gen6?
>>64735899Glocks are fine but you can probably get a S&W M&P 2.0 for a slightly lower price and it's frankly a better gun.I'd also consider getting something slightly smaller if you think you might ever want to conceal carry. G19, M&P 2.0 Compact, maybe a Sig P365 XL or Springfield Hellcat Pro.
>>64735960V came out and then renamed Gen6 later on. V=Gen6. Gen6 is the newest bestes iteration
>>64735899Budget? Purpose? Desired characteristics? If you just want a pistol, Glock or the M&P the other anon suggested are both OK choices. If you have the cash and want to splurge, get a VP9 if you want a striker gun and are willing to pay the HK tax, on hammer fired side there's more variety in terms of good choices, Beretta 92, any number of 1911s (you have to do your research though because some are dogshit and many are overpriced), CZ if you're a hipster, P30/USP if you're willing to pay the HK tax.If you need something dirt cheap, Hi Point unironically.
>>64735899If you need a gun RIGHT FUCKING NOW and all they have is a bunch of guns you've never heard of and a glock, then by all means get a glock. But if you want a good gun, finger all the guns in your gun shop and preferably shoot them, then research the one that feels best in your hand. That might be an actually good first-time gun. Guns are personal like boots, they need to fit you.
>>64735970Gen 5 is uh, gen 5. They are good. Gen V is gen 5 but with slightly different internals to make it slightly harder to put an auto switch into it(this doesn't really matter to you). Gen 6 is the newest gen and has some changes like some more coarse texturing on the grip, a palm swell, a longer beaver tail, and a different trigger shoe. Honestly none of this really matters to you just buy whatever and shoot>>64736246V is not gen 6 you dipshit
>>64735899look into what single-stack and double-stack mean. my first gun was a sig p250 which is sorta bulky but it was a good learning experience that led me to a slimmer carry gun i'm happy with (a 1911). there are single-stack glocks if you must get a glock.
>>64735970do they not have the internet in your third world country? if you're already this helpless and incapable maybe guns aren't for you, bud
>>64735899Yeah, it's pretty good. It's the Camry of guns. Boring, uninspired, but just werksAs for the details, don't bother. Just go to your local store, ask for:>glock brand glock>17 if it's a night stand gun, 19 or 46 if you want to carry it>45 isn't bad, but I find the long grip/short barrel trend a little silly>matching holster>two spare mags>cleaning kit (because clean = reliable)>200 rounds of ammunition because your next stop will be a range where you'll learn to shoot itIf you've got money left over, a dot sight is a solid investment but by no means a necessity if you don't
