Got a customer’s.357 R95 on my bench and i’m out of ideas. Rounds are being allowed to slam backwards into the feeding area, jamming it up with 2-3 rounds preventing cycling. Any ideas would be appreciated
Have you tried taking it apart?Guess the magazine rim catcher claw or whatever is out of wack
Yeah i’ve tried disassembly and reassembly, tried multiple springs on the locking block and that hasn’t worked. Could it potentially be the timing of the elevator? Or a surface that has worn down?
I doubt it's due to wear. Do you have access to a good functioning one you could compare it to?
Unfortunately not, we don’t get many lever guns at this shop
>>64738175>Could it potentially be the timing of the elevatorTheoretically, but it's unlikely that it would be off badly enough to cause this problem without there being something seriously fucked up. I'd take it apart and look real carefully at the cartridge stop & associated pins and springs. Parts. 41-43
The R95 doesn’t have that type of cartridge stop system, that seems to be a R92 perhaps. The R95 seems to rely solely upon the surfaces of the elevator to operate as a cartridge stop.
>>64738236My bad, I googled the schematic but didn't noticed google gave the wrong one. What does the elevator look like? Any obvious signs of deformation, wear, etc?
Only slight wear on the front, will take a pic once i have it out of the gun again as I’m about to test it
