>>64740610the trickiest part of a Kerguelen Islands op is the distance, over 3000 kms from the nearest inhabited island, no airstrips, travel to and from are by boat, it would take days for a flotilla to get there at a decent pace intact. The first teams air dropped in establishing comms and preparing a suitable air strip would be well and truly alone for the first 24 hours
