The reason why its missing in that picture is because Surefire handguards and light accessories usually do not play nice with cans using 3 lugs. Direct thread gives them enough room to not interfere.

I'm using a BRT hub adapter and a CAT MOB for my suppressor stack. I clean the barrel ports/threads every 300 or so rounds but you could go 600+ easy. Other than that it's just like cleaning any other suppressed MP5. Being an SD adds maybe five minutes to cleaning the whole gun.
