>weighs less than other 9mm>has lighter recoil spring than other 9mm>slide pulls back with minimal effort>yet has less recoil than other 9mmsExplain that shit right now what sort of fuckin magic is this
It’s pretty EZ to understand anon
>>64744368EZ does it, anon
>>64744368JMB invented minmax build like it was tarkov in 1903 and he was a tarkov streamer but instead of cracked weapons attachments he made the short recoil system
>>64744368Got one for my wife (f) and was genuinely impressed with it. Pretty good trigger as well.
>Virtually the same size as 43x>Carries only 8 rounds instead of 15 w/ the meme magsExplain yourself.
>>64745774I shot one not too long ago and was surprised to find it was a SAO internal hammer instead of a striker. I wonder if that makes it easier for the slide to rack somehow.>>64745792Because it's designed for arthritic women to be able to load and it's got those tabs on the side of the follower like a Ruger Mark IV.
>>64748757But why can't arthritic women just load 8 rounds into a 15 round mag?
>>64748757>I wonder if that makes it easier for the slide to rack somehow.Yes it does, since the hammer is always cocked that's one less thing to resist when racking. And the geometry of the slide and hammer can be adjusted so that cocking the hammer provides most of the necessary resistance to the slide when firing, using the hammer itself as a sort of lever-delay system. This is handy because the slide has the least amount of leverage at the start of the cycle where you want the most resistance, and increasing leverage towards the end of the cycle where you a little more margin for error for reliability. This is a common thing to do when tuning a 1911, the amount of bevel on the bottom of the firing pin plate has a huge impact on what recoil spring you need.
>>64748929The Shield EZ magazine has finger tabs that protrude outside the magazine tube (like you commonly see on .22's) that you can pull down to make it even easier to get cartridges into the magazine. Doing that with a double stack magazine would make it even wider and unwieldy for grandma's arthritic hands.
>>64749005Meaning it's MUCH easier to load 8 rounds into the Shield EZ's magazine than it is to load 8 rounds into a normal high-cap double stack magazine. It really does handle as easily as a .22 pistol, but shoots 9mm. And even then the recoil is soft as fuck. It really is an amazing bit of engineering.
>>64749005They could have simply shipped a speed loader to help the weaklings instead of maling the design worse for everyone. If it had a standard capacity magazine I might actually buy it.
>>64749163>>64749005Nvm, the equalizer got rid of that feature and went back to the regular mags.
>>64749163I've seen people struggle with a Maglula before. Plus thats just another thing for an 80 year old woman to keep track of. Its fine if you dont want it, you aren't the target market.
>>64749005Also women tend to have smaller hands, and many can't get a good grip on double-stack handguns and still have adequate reach to the trigger. Single-stack fits in smaller hands better, permitting more accurate fire. That said, I'm a guy with small hands, the doctor says the arthritis in my knees and shoulders will probably eventually get to my hands, and I bought an EZ in case that happens. Yeah, I'm exactly the target audience for this gun.
