its probably the most successful air defense system so far
>>
>>64746852
Does the deal allow Germany to produce interceptors or does it need to rely on Israel for that?
>>
>>64746852
What bang do they actually get for their buck though? I mean they're dealing with jews so I'm not expecting a lot.
>>
>>64746865
but no one is attacking germany tho
Israel, America, the Latin American countries, China, and all the countries China wants to invade all should have and do have air defence. For germany it is unnecessary Russia is too busy to attack them and will be too weakened in another 5 years after the war concludes
>>
>>64746852
Arrow 3 doesn't really make sense for Germany. Russia is the threat, but the kinds of weapons it is designed to intercept Russia doesn't possess, with the possible exception of the shitty Oreshnik. So the only remaining use case is as an anti satellite weapon.
>>
>>64746995
That sounds like something a Russian would say..

>oh please mr germany no defend, i'm just a little russian! Oh we looost the war oh we are sooo innocent now, we are no danger anymore and- BLYAT RUSH THE NAZIS! ONE LAST CHANCE TO WIN THE GREST PATRIOTIC WAR || ELECTRIC BLYATLOO[TM]

>Russia is the threat
Russia did a faceplant in Ukraine of all places, I'm still baffled people west of Poland keep pushing for urgent rearming when the big scary enemy NATO was born to defend against revealed itself for a pathetic failure for the nth time. Hell, just because Russia would need to get through the Baltic states or Poland should be enough to guarantee Berlin will never see a Russian soldier ever again. I can see the US considering China the new USSR in the postmodern cold war, but how China poses a direct military threat to Europe is beyond me. In the med who is there to threaten Europe? Turkey? I can see them doing some landgrabs here and there, but the old continent is just too far away (nobody gives a fuck about Greece). Israel? They're last century colonial high on religious fumes, they're my bet for a serious overt first use of WMD in the future, but they just don't have the expeditionary power. If we consider the Atlantic we have the US posing an existential threat because as ol' Donnie showed recently, what they want they take, fuck everything else, but the US is also deeply embedded in Europe, if they wanted to stir shit up they'd have the easiest time and no amount of money would defend Europe from the enemy within, so the solution is necessarily long term and political first.

What's the problem? Both countries want to have a relationship for defense, why shouldn't they have it just in case? If Germany is going to spend on brown people at least let it be something which can be useful, and the earned money goes to remove undesirables in the middle east, what's not good about this?
>>
Israel has signed defense contracts since oct. 7th that are worth more than the combined GDP of every one of the Axis of resistance combined.
>>
>>64746852
Who the fuck else are they gonna buy from? The US?
>>
>>64747059
Because Russia is stupid, period.
Even at their current state and pushed into their potential retardation they can do something like throwing dirty bombs into EU just to spite them, no matter how many russian serfs die when MAD enters in effect "we will just go to heaven" they literally said here, the average vatniggers is a depraved subhuman who feels (thinking is too much for them) "it's about sending a message", after a few years of interaction with them I would give all the thumbs up for NATO to have cobalt warheads point at their territory and virus tailored to kill russians, and I won't hesitate to push the button as rather kill them all than let them harm actual real humankind.

You dont have to be skilled or effective to do damage, if you need an example then give a three year old a hammer and see how long it takes them to break something
The russians are like a horde of locusts, consuming and destroying everything they touch. Serious rearmanent is neccesary to ensure that when they do attack as little European soils as possible is tainted by thier presence, and as little European blood as possible is spilled in driving them off
>>
>>64747210
Where else are they supposed to get a halfway decent ABM system?

>but no one is attacking germany tho
Ukraine is part of the german realm, muscovites are attacking it

There does seem to be a fundamental misunderstanding when it comes to this new "spheres of influence"thing everyone is doing
Europe is not a part of Russias sphere of influence, Russia is a part of Europes sphere of influence.

The problem isn't rearmament, the problem is the current push for rearmament hinges entirely on Russia. A realistic rearmament schedule is something that could take over a decade for full delivery and integration while Russia is already crippled militarily, economically, and demographically at the moment. If Russia gets to the point where it can no longer function militarily and economically calls it quits/collapses/has a revolution/whatever, how long before politicians start calling for a pause on rearmament, for budget reallocations, and contract cancellations because the perceived threat is no longer there. We're 35 years out from the first peace dividend, if Russia goes back to penny-ante shit against Central Asia like it did for the 90s and the 00s how long do you think the current rearmament drive would last?
>>
>>64747445
A while, given that the world is a much more unstable place than it was 5 years ago and new threats are constantly emerging from every direction
Europe cannot stay on the sidelines any longer, European security requires a proactive and muscular foreign policy and that in turn requires great lashings of hard military power
