I just ordered a .308 CZ600 range for 1100 yurobucks (they usually go for 1300), did I fuck up
>>
>>64751317
yeah, should've got it in 30-06 instead.
>>
>>64751364
we dont have game big enough to warrant it
>>
>>64751317
This or Tikka t3x in 6.5 Sneedmore?
>>
>>64751317
No. Lovely rifle. Jelous. I prefer 270 or precision nerd stiff like 6,5 but if you have to oick one calibre and a militarily relevnt one it's going to be 308/7.62x51

CZ or Tikka ios a tough choice but yeah, want.

Congradulations OP.

Now get some drones and you are the full meta

>tfw all the neolithic h. Sapians ate all the big game
I suppose Europe didn't need woolly rhinos, mammoths and aurochs anyway. And 10k yrs from now they will be saying the same for mammals down to fox size. Nice species eradication program, euro bros. Only more like 100yrs.

Never, unless you do long range, it wears the barrel ten times more per shot than .308.
>>
>>64751317
Put a decent optic on it or gay
>>
>>64751833
308 is fine for most long range places

There are a huge number of boar in a lot of EU countries that need larger calibres and most national deer heards need controlled culling and nuters as well.

Europe is not the US, animals like foxes and rabbits are foreign introduced species and most of the landscape and ecosystem is man made over 3000 years and beatifully made at that.

If you understand how people like me work to preserve animals and release then you would know how wrong you are. Without people like me you have a dead lifeless growth of brambles with a few buzzards overhead.

I love very much hare, foix, rabbit, squirrel, boar, deer, bagger and birts such as the robin. The enviromental movement has been a disaster for them, utter disaster, forcused on releasing and reintroducing apex preditoir prey birds which have devestated their numbers while new diseases weaken their populations further,

However if I don't control diseased animals and remove them, or limit the number of e.g fox when releasing phesent or hare or red squirrel then the fox population rises and becomes ferral wiping out all the other animals along the way. I take vetenary samples from boar to check for disease and make sure that these species survive.

You need to learn a lot more before you have opinions. You have the wildlife you bhave in most of Europe became of 19th century gamekeeping, neglect that duty to the land and clutch as urban eveiromentalist fantasies of naturally balancing ecosystems (the European ecosytems have not been 'naural' for 2000 years) and you will erase our frens the animals.

Conservationists need to shoot some animals to preserve populations of others and maintain a balnce as well as control disease. That also includes making habitats 'cover' and releasing animals to make new populations when you have had to eliminate one due to disease like
Viral hemorrhagic fever or Myxomatosis, kill some grey squirrel, cull foxes when there are too many.A gun is a tool to me
>>
>>64751854
Tldr
>>
>>64751856
And that is exactky why you are utterly unfit to make ecological or enviromenal policy or commet on it.

You're too thick.
>>
>>64751854
>You need to learn a lot more before you have opinions.
This has.never been a requirement anywhere. And you have not addresses the loss of the entire megafauna taxonomy. Cope with your despised invasive species, saying foxes and weasles and badgers are unnatural. You will never be a real wooly mammoth rider and the wildlife diversity of Europe is ruined.
>>
>>64751864
Enjoy your dead cement hell. Just spare the animals and me your 'ideas'
>>64751864
>saying foxes and weasles and badgers are unnatural.
I've released hare and badgers and martens and made habitats for them as well has hedgehogs red squirrel and others. Then watches as urban ecology movements released buzzards that killed them all.

You know not what you have done. Urban enviromentalists are destoying European wildlife.
>>
>>64751875
>Urban enviromentalists are destoying European wildlife.
Dude, I started out saying the neolithic europeans wiped out the wildlife 10,000 years ago. The fucking urbanites got nothing to do with the extinction of the European megafauna. If you can't into cave art documentatiin of the wild horses, aurochs and cave bears, you will never accept your resposibility in the total destruction of wildlife diversity and the pending desertification of Europe. From Portugal to Germany, Europe will became an Anatolian wasteland. Just like the one your most recent immigration wave has left from.

Ok, presumably 6.5 Swede isn't worth it over .308 if .308 is much cheaper as well then?
>>
>>64751833
>wears the barrel ten times more per shot than .308.
Citation required.
>>
>>64751845
There are like 6 places in Europe that are open enough for a shot over 300 meters. .308 is fine.
>>
>>64751854
>dead lifeless growth
Wut? How does it grow if dead and lifeless?
>>
>>64751913
6.5 Swe from s&b is approximately the same price as some standard 308.

I don't use my carl much when it comes to shoot over 300m tough.
>>
>>64751944
It's expensive here. Everything gun related is, but .308 is king in terms of availablity as far as I'm aware so it's less wallet raping. Basically trying to decide the 6.5s and .308.
>>
>>64751833
>Never, unless you do long range, it wears the barrel ten times more per shot than .308.
Why is there retarded bullshit fuddlore getting posted on /k/ by people who don't shoot?

To other anon and anyone else, 6.5cm lasts in precision applications about 4000 rounds on a normal duty schedule (mag dumping or whatever would shorten it but that's true of any cartridge). And that compares a lot better to 308 then is commonly shared by retards, because that's specifically for precision whereas the "308 lasts 10k!!" numbers are about hunting where 2-4moa is completely fine. If that's all you want out of it 6.5 should stretch out to 7000 or so, and retiring a PRS 6.5 barrel to use for hunting is common. It's less then 308 yeah, but the difference is frankly minor.

True barrel burners are stuff like magnum rounds or ultra min/max comp shit like 7mm PRC or the like which can burn a barrel in ~800 rounds. 6.5 is extremely moderate. If you're running a battlerifle, or have existing investment in ammo/bullets/brass/dies/reloading in 30cal and want to keep with that, nothing wrong with 308. But now that 6.5cm is as cheap or cheaper for quality ammo there's not much reason to go 308 anymore greenfield unless you live in an unfree place where you can't order ammo maybe. Fucking hilarious how fags expose themselves by repeating dead memes as if it's 2020.
>>
>>64751956
>2020
This has been going on for longer than that frendo.
>>
>>64751951
If I only had to choose one it would be a 308 again for sure. You have the advantage of ammo availability and barrel wear. Does the job when it comes to hunting too.

338 really stands out and is almost cheating at longer ranges in comparison tough fugg
>>
>>64751317
Generally speaking, the deer, bear and wolves are virtually extinct in most areas of europe. All animals larger are gone. Most animal populations are kept in "open cages" like animal parks. Humans are the last real big game animal in Europe. So.yeah, .308 is fine.
>>
>>64751956
Smoothbore for smoothbrains, meme rounds for memers

Can you even hunt birds in France without having a royal title like in England?
>>
>>64751989
Last time I've seen some invitations to burdz hunting in France it was expensive af.

yeah
>>64751988
>"shoot elr haha oh I'd never let me talk about my handgun tho (no I don't shoot that either except to nig dump on a range once a year)"
yeah
>>
>>64752011
Pretty much

>>64752029
>you don't shoot my nignog
yeah
>>
>>64751982
>Imported wolves
>Bear are still sort of around, but pretty extinct in the long run
>Deer are a nuisance
>Elk/Moose (alcus alcus, wtf they are) are rumoured to be on the chopping block soon due to becoming a nuisance again
You know, for a slavhole that's went through multiple extinction events due to forrun invaders, the ecosystem is surprisingly healthy for Yuropoor standards.
