>>64752406The very same pic you posted shows that more shotguns were manufactured than pistols. Mossberg exports a fuck ton of shotguns to countries that don't allow their citizens to own rifles. Furthermore, we import very few shotguns (picrel from your same link), so if we want a shotgun, it will very likely have come from the US, Canada, Italy, or Turkey.
