Was successfully kidnapping him the greatest US military accomplient of the current century?
>>
No.
>>
it was a great display of coordination but there was hardly any risk.
>>
>>64752523
Current century? Maybe, because the US has no military feats this century.
The 1989 op in Panama was much more impressive and larger in scope.
>>
>>64752523
>Maduro is taller and whiter than all the Amerimutts
Lol
Funny that he mogs in every one of these pics
>>
>>64752523
Tactically yes. Strategically no.
>>

>This thread again
No. The greatest operation of the century was Fallujah and Ramadi. Removing tin pot dictators with temu radar is less impressive than the combined arms operations operation in both those cities.
>>
>>64752523
>helicopters flying at stone toss distance
>not a single one of them was grounded
>wife of maduro was also “kidnapped”
If you ask me, either he cut a deal with the US, or he was betrayed.
>>
>>64752623
I thought Fallujah was a massive shitshow.

mog apparently means limping brownoid in cuffs
>>
It's impressive in that it was quick and no casualties or loss of equipment, but taking over Iraq is more impressive overall.

Is spamming this thread every day the greatest accomplishment of your life?
>>
>>64752536
There could have been several BHD situations if any of the small arms hit any of the helicopters.
>>

Everyone in that picture is a brownoid though.

>Fallujah and Ramadi.
Policing action with tanks on call.
>>

No one else can do it, but it remains unimpressive.

How did other countries not learn from this?
>>
>>64752672
Urban combat always is. Fighting was door to door, and was absolutely insane. Add that, the combined armor and F-18/helo strikes, it was absolute kino.
>>64752666
>Hue City
>not an absolut slaughter of VC
It was fucking great, an d gave us the best picture of what to do with commies.
>>
America took over 2 countries at the same time.
>>
What is the actual plan? His political party is still in power and there isn’t a US allied militia or political party to take over. The judge who is supposed to see his case is a 90 year old Law and Order lib judge that will probably throw out the charges. The whole thing reads like wrestling kayfabe.
>>
>>64752702
The bit about using unfinished arty barrel forgings to improvise new bunker busters in a few weeks was really impressive imo.
>>
>>64752757
To take over Venezuelan oil. The current president is allowing it to happen.
>>
>>64752549
the us has the only military feats, everyone else is huddling in holes and trenches while the other western militaries are drilling and prepping

I dunno, we managed to bag Maduro right out of the gate, while Noreiga slipped through our hands at first, and it was only after asking the Catholic Church nicely that we got him at all.
>>
>>64752757
The plan is to not repeat the mistakes of de-Baathification. We'll see how that plays out in the long term.

Also, given that we successfully prosecuted Noriega for essentially the same crimes, and Maduro has exactly zero friends in the Western world, I'm thinking this prosecution shouldn't be too hard.
>>
>>64752672
To be fair being a shitshow doesn't exclude it
Overlord was a massive shitshow, but it was also the most complex and greatest military endeavor that we have seen, and likely that anyone will ever see in human history
>>
>>64752523
I would argue that the 2003 OIF campaign was a masterwork of modern warfare

What makes you say that? I acknowledge that it was fast, but we also demonstrated just how pathetically weak Saddam's military was in '91, so steamrolling them wasn't that surprising, was it?

The sheer scale, complexity and results of the operation, you are doing the same shit dumb multipolarfags do every time, just because the US makes it look effortless doesn't mean it is actually effortless.
>>
>>64752836
Iraq was considered the 3rd or 4th strongest military in 1991. The only looked weak against America.
>>
>>64752836
It wasn’t weak, America just brought a new rulebook to the war because we actually learned something from Vietnam.
>>
>>64752836
Iraq was quite potent, they just so happened to be fighting a USA that lost its big USSR boogeyman to train against. Its like a local champion boxer fighting an Olympic boxer that is used to fighting 200+ pounds of pure speed and muscle.
>>
>>64752862
Aren't Olympic boxers usually young up and comers?
>>
>>64752868
In their mid 20s usually. Joshua Edwards for example was our giga nigga at 92kg and 6 foot 3

I'm sorry but besieging and effectively demolishing an entire city controlled by insurgents isn't really all that impressive of a win. Even the Flips managed to achieve similar results during the Battle of Marawi with a military that was considerably less modern.

But you know what it is impressive? Breaking into a the a country with *relatively* up-to-date Russian air defense systems and snatching their president from his bed.

He’s also fatter because he loves chimichangas.
>>
>>64752929
That's a little over 100 American deaths per year. Taliban deaths couldn't even be counted properly because their bodies were too mangled to determine if it was 1 or more, and they were hiding their dead.

>points to the other war
Despite making things unnecessarily hard with our everyone-must-go approach to the pre-OIF Iraqi government, the government we put in charge of Iraq remains functional, even if it's staggered a couple times. It has at least lasted longer on its own than South Vietnam, so that counts for something.
