>makes more sense than AR rifles with pistol rounds
>makes more sense than AR pistols with rifle rounds
Why doesn't this exist?
>>
30 carbine was a shitty rushed round. It and the m1 could have been better but they'd needed it now. Why upgrade a disposable stopgap?
>>

what problems does it solve?

350 legend ARs are a thing

300 blackout exists

>30 carbine is ... le bad
Does thick clothing stop .22's as well, ESL fudd?

Over-penetration and sound, plus it'd be fun to shoot. It's also just better for a 16" barrel than any pistol round. And it doesn't look dumb and gay like most pistol magazines sticking out of an AR platform.

Kinda just gay and overpriced flavor-of-the-month rounds for YouTube LARPers IMO.

Even the 30 carbine is cheaper per round and everyone knows that's already overpriced from less production. Increasing demand with a fun AR variant which would be extremely practical for home defense increases production and would eventually decrease price.

I really just don't see your rounds being (much if any) more popular in the future than they are now, meaning they'd only increase in price until being hard to find at all as the YouTubers and funko-pop collectors move onto the next flavor of the month round they're paid to promote on their channels or whatever. Whereas people will always want to buy M1 Carbines because they're cool, historical, and practical guaranteeing future ammo demand and production even without this idea. This would only increase demand and production further since manufacturers see guaranteed sales from a reliable seller.

I like .30 Carbine, even if a .22 Spitfire/MMJ 5.7 M2 carbine would have been a better weapon, but the problem with making a .30 Carbine AR-15 is that there are already options that fill this niche for this rifle and there’s little to no incentive to choose .30 Carbine over these options except for if you have a giant pile of .30 Carbine ammo burning a hole in your pocket like the flips.

125 grain .300 BLK supers are just a hair faster with much better BC and you can thank the longer cartridge OAL permitted by using a full size AR receiver instead of one that has been gently squashed to accept a 30 round M1 carbine mag like your picture.

Lmao.

not really solving any problems here just nitpicking nuance. That's what ar-15s are, so I get that.

300 BLK is cheaper than 30 Carbine but go off queen
>>
>>64756153
because as the thread show, if it ain't shilled to death by hundreds of "tactical" brands and shit then nobody will buy it because "it doesn't make sense" or whatever other non sense they'll made up as an excuse.

this is valid for any other weapons btw even bolt action rifles, nobody is going to make something weird and unique because it's too risky and will instead follow the current trend in the already existing market, only those rich enough will shill their shit to death until it sell (see 6.5 creedmoor)
>>
>>64756429
its not.

30 carbine is much cheaper to manufacture in long term, large scale operations.

I don't see it being a risk, I think AR pistols firing 30 carbine would sell like hot cakes.

Lighter, shorter overall length, less wasted money on unused gunpowder (or specialty fast-burn rounds). If you wanted to hype-up the tactical applications, just give it a threaded barrel and let a few of those cosplaying guntubers test/review it and have Magpul design some magazines for it. But really, a bone-stock AR pistol firing 30 carbine would be great for home defense or keeping the peace. It's not like the King of Kenosha had to engage with armored enemies or people even 100 yards away or through some long distance scope, most civilian engagements are well under 150 yards.

The 16" rifle would be great too, one of the .223/5.56's requirements was that it would have comparable wounding ability to the M1 Carbine. Just seems kinda weird to me that the quintessential "civilian carbine" doesn't even have a variant which fires the carbine round.

well you are the only one that thinks that.
theres no demand for 30 carbine nobody wants it unless they are trying to feed an m1. other 30 carbine guns have existed and all were unsuccessful. nobody will buy it just cause its 30 carbine.
