When trying to destroy a stationary enemy surface drome, is level bombing like its 1943 really the most effective way to engage them, or is Russia utilizing suboptimal methods here?
>>64762780I thought that was the sky for like 10 seconds
>>64762780>Russia>SuboptimalIt’s that
Suboptimal for sure but at least they hit the target I guess.
>>64762780Missiles are fucking expensive and they have apartments to be using them on.
>>64762802>fly that low>still misshow?!
We already know the Ukie naval drones are capable of taking down an Su-30, it's only a matter of time before one of these gets taken down lmao.
Isn't this just anti-submarine weapons with instant fuzing? A bit dated, but not a horrible idea if they don't expect anyone to shoot back.
>>64762780I'm gonna say there's better ways to do this.>>64762986>don't shoot backYet.
>>64762780>Using expensive yuge plane with expensive trained crews and diminishing bomb stocks to destroy cheap dronesUkies should just park decoy sea drones everywhere so that Russia will waste their resources.
>>64762945russia still hasn't managed to make Vietnam war-tier bombsights for their aircrafti'm not even joking, their first CCRP system never went beyond upgrading a couple old as shit su-24s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SVP-24?useskin=vector
>>64763921>?useskin=vectorholy based
The flat head design improves underwater ballistics, making it appear to be an anti-submarine bomb. Could the shark-like object being attacked be a semi-submersible drone?
>>64762780>These bombsJesus christ, these things looks like 70 y.o PLAB-250-120 (ПЛAБ-250-120) air-dropped deep charges.Even fucking Vietnam phased these out recently, because they realised that their age made them so unstable and dangerous that they should be treated as UXO
>>64764027Obligatory "PLAB PLAB PLAB PLABGET DEPTH CHARGED GET DEPTH CHARGED GET DEPTH CHARGED GET DEPTH CHARGED"
>>64762999This could be too far out for helicopters. Also drones have been armed with SAMs (i think modified air to air) to discourage helicopters. Even though this bomber is probably within range they seem rudimentary and limited in their ability to lock on to targets and are really a risk to helicopters that are chasing the drones with door mounted machine guns.
>>64762780>suboptimal methodsDone "through the ass" as the Russians would say.No, really, they say that.>чepeз жoпyhttps://ru.wiktionary.org/wiki/чepeз жoпyIt translates neither as "half-assed" nor "ass backwards" but precisely THROUGH THE ASS.
>>64762780I bet its very effective - in keeping your pilots and ground crews busy so they don't get transfered to infantry.
>>64764063kek
>>64762780I mean it's not like they'll ever get another opportunity to use this shit. It's like if you have a stockpile of old socks you're never going to wear again and tear them up to make cleaning rags every once in a while. They used to keep your feet from getting blisters but now they have holes in them and you have no other use for them.

>>64766236forgot my ass-backwards webm. Note how it is "ass-backwards" because this may be ~70 year old tech and unguided rocket spam is terribly inefficient it was still created to do exactly this. Also it is just fun to yeeet rockets away from no matter how basic your rocket is.but Depth Charges for drones is a Through-the-Ass approach because it is goes against nature of the bomb. Just like homosex is against nature of man. Hence, inflicted through his ass. Not even saying "no homo" is enough here.
>>64763921when the fucking imaginary MIG-29 in DCS is more accurate bombing than the puccian bilitary
>>64763884>diminishing bomb stockstwo more weeks
>>64762802there were nato generals on that field
>>64766603Keep this close to your chest, but I heard from an authoritative source that at least five Boris Johnsons were conducting exercises in that field at the moment of the strike as well. All five are confirmed lost in action -- NATO is currently scrambling to send more.
