Shes a 1925 Tula Hex, arsenal matched. Technically original, not even counter bored.

She likely saw some action for the Winter War, and maybe WW2, before getting cosmo'd and stuck in a crate. I paid 285 for her 10 years ago, i could sucker an autist out of 600 if i wanted to sell.

Stock seperated, handguard off. Bayo and cleaning rod out too. I used a punch to knock out the band retainers. I buggered the forward one ages ago, being a tard. Might try to braze it back on.

Lubed and wiped again, a touch of saddle soap and leather conditioner on the sling, and shes ready to collect dust again.

I ought to track down some 54R brass and start reloading, cant seem to find the cheap ass tulammo around lately.

Next up I got my Springfield 1911 A1, built sometime in 2006. Shes my pillow gun, i keep her ready to rock with 2 mags. Said mags are loaded with 5.1gn of win 231, and 230gn hornady xtps. Bigger holes more better, yeah? Also, muh stoppin powah, two world wars, etc.

Next up is one of my favorites in my arsenal: A Remington Sportmaster 512, tube mag, in 22 short, long or lr. She was the first gun my gramps ever bought with his own money, built in december 1940 or january 1941.

Gramps had a 3/4 scope mounted to it, but the wires went funky on me somewhere. Got a cheap $20 tasco from walmart on it now.

I stripped and refinished the barrel and receiver last year with one of those birchwood casey kits, and im pleased with the look. I wanna redo the stock with a kokopelli on it, havent decided what route to take.

The bore is gross, which isnt suprising because it comes to the range 9 times out of 10. Cant get a good pic of it, so here is how the scope mount sits on the receiver. Old fashioned, a far cry from you kids and your fancy m-lok shit

You also gotta put on some music from her original country so she feels relaxed and at home.

Sorry I can't contribute tonight, my own shop area is currently torn apart because I'm doing some structural work. It'll be a lot better in the end though, and I did a thorough cleaning first so I'll be ok for a few weeks.

God damn, I still don't understand quite how that swept meet threads so hard so fast.
