I'm not one myself but i have a buddy in BORTAC and before he went bortac regular border patrol was a sweet gig. You'd have to move to the southern border though, he's stationed out of san diego but he's been spending months in Chicago, la and now minneapolis but he loves his job. Don't know what ICE life is like though but it doesn't seem like a bad gig. He's colocated with them but they basically just clear out people who try to block their vehicles leaving with teargas, pepper balls etc from what i've seen. But they do raids as well. Not high value targets like they do but still.
