>Following the declaration period, eligible participants will only be able to schedule an appointment through the ASFCP for collection by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), police of jurisdiction or a mobile collection unit to turn in their prohibited firearms for validation and destruction.

>>

RCMP has already said their officers won't take part in this so that doesn't make any sense.
>>64779606
They have no one to help collect and it'd still be entirely voluntary. They'd set up somewhere like in Cape Breton and wait for people to show up.

Using terms like "mobile collection" implies goondsquads in armored vans tearing the door off your house and raiding you at 2am. It's a term that inspires fearmongering.
>>
>>64779622

The exercise doesn't just have a singular aim. It's not just about trying to disarm civilians. It's a litmus test to see how easily pacified Canadians are in 2026. Started with the lockdowns, they got more resistance than they expected. The gun grab is another way to gauge what level of shenanigans they can roll out with resistance or not.

Critical point in history honestly. They're already seeing that people are vehemently opposed to this, gun owners and non-gun people. Even police want nothing to do with it. Their own tools like Gary can't even keep their mouth shut about what a joke it is.

The amnesty will be "extended" year after year and they'll hope gun stores close for good, hurting the industry as a whole. But once you hand over your guns to them, you're never getting them back, and it's going to get progressively worse on every front because they KNOW you're a weak cuck at that point.

I really think this program won't be a huge failure like we expect. Think of every "regular person" with a restricted, they will most likely comply because the gov knows what they have, and most people aren't "based" gunslingers who want to stick it to the gov. People have lives and the idea of living with a potential legal issue over your head is enough for some people to comply. This country voted in Liberals a third time y'know.

As for non-restricteds, I think it'll just be kept as a trap card for the courts in the future, like someone gets arrested for hate speech and then they pile on a prohib weapon charge on top of that.

Fine we will just blow up our own nuclear power plants, buy solar panels on credit from China, and then secretly plan to use strong worded letters to evict the US from their complete occupation of the continent while simultaneously bribing the Russians with their own money to fix all of our problems and provide new EU-controlled nuclear deterrence (at Russia's expense) so that Trump will no longer be a Russian spy and instead pivot to a new ruinous global conflict the American people have explicitly rejected multiple times, all at everyone else's expense and to our benefit.
These are not serious people and none of them should have ever been allowed into positions of power. >Canada does not have the number of military personnel or the sophisticated equipment needed to fend off a conventional American attack, they said. So, the military envisions unconventional warfare in which small groups of irregular military or armed civilians would resort to ambushes, sabotage, drone warfare or hit-and-run tactics.

>The aim of such tactics would be to impose mass casualties on U.S. occupying forces, the official said.

The entire conflict would be over about as fast as the Maduro yoinkening. These niggerfaggots keep talking about guerilla warfare, but that shit wouldn't fly nearly as well in America's backyard compared to some far flung shithole across the globe. Canadian plebbitors are the fucking worst offenders. Going on and on about how Canada is famous for war crimes and the Geneva convention, and how they'll akhbar random American cities, as if these soft hands faggots have any connection with the men who fought wars nearly 100 years ago.

Considering the proclivity of jeets to engage in scamming, letting them run govt call centers with something as serious as firearms is questionable. I am pretty sure organized crime groups would plant their assets into there so they could find out which addresses have what and plan out break and enters.

If I had to guess I'd say that was because the owners were in on it. Pajeets are notorious for insurance fraud, they waste no time paying premiums before they commit fraud.

The rest of that stuff does little when they're using tow trucks to boost cars. They just back it up to the front of your vehicle, lower their wheel chocks, lock in your front wheels, then lift and drive off. Gone in 30 seconds.

There are legal roadblocks to confiscation in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. As for everywhere else, almost no local police forces are willing to supply the manpower so the government is trying to figure out how to set up mobile collection centers. Quebec is fully on board and all guns have to be registered in that province so that might be where most of the effort and results will be found. Currently though they've just sent out warning emails because they don't have any infrastructure set up yet; they're hoping to scare people into telling them what unregistered guns they have (ARs were previously already registered).

It's not that easy to move to the US. The easiest method aside from marrying an American is via the TN program but that only applies to a certain subset of professions like nursing, software engineering, etc. Even then a lot of companies prefer to hire citizens or outsource directly to India.

The TN program is even worse than that. I seriously considered it, you need an employment offer before you cross the border. There's no set process to apply, everything is evaluated on a case by case basis in person by the border guard, you could be refused and not know before having prepared to move your entire life around. Even then, the TN status is only a work permit, not a residency or visa. The moment you cease to be employed by your original employer, you become a Canadian tourist in the US with no right to work (unless you reapply for a new TN) and on a 6 month timer before your visa free stay expires and you become an illegal alien. To crown it all, time spent in the US on TN doesn't count towards a greencard.

All these politic talks is so tiresome, can >we post more gun instead?
>>
Does anyone have experience with cold blueing? Would it be okay to just cold blue like 80% of my gun's surface using something like a ballistol cold blue kit?
>>
>>64781421
I notice that you didn't post a gun to start this "gun posting"

Have gun
>>
>>64781445
>cold blue like 80% of my gun's surface
I'd only recommend cold bluing for touch ups
It does not offer any meaningful rust protection, and is easily worn/scratched off.
It is just for cosmetics, and it does not even do a very good job at that, when applied to larger areas, as it tends to not come out very even.

>>64781277
It gives me some copium then I remember those fags voted for it and have caused this much pain.

>someone complains that the government is violating their rights
>government and government-staffed courts kindly remind him he has no rights
>unless they choose to recognize them
>which they do not
>ergo, fuck you get in the cage or we'll shoot you

Don't you know how this country works? Didn't you see what they did to the truckers?
>>
>>64781445
cold bluing is hit or miss but worth a try
>>

What guns? Everything cool is on the ban list, we supposed to just post hundreds of identical look SKS's?

Either is fine, no commercial nor surplus loads are at max pressure and the ~2k psi difference is due to differing test methodology and not an actual doctrinal difference.

Anyone else submitting their lemons and other shit to the buyback they want to get rid of?

I picked up a ttoally fucked CZH 2003 with headspace issues, unsafe to fire for like $600 bucks, as I knew there are little lug kits and shit you can buy to adjust VZ-58 headspace, but apparently this vintage they simply cute the chambers wrong and are severely NO GO.
Compensation for it is $1250.

I also have shitty little M84 Skorpion, which a VZ-61 Klobb clone in .32ACP and I ran out of ammo for it years ago since .32 is nearly extinct and banned pistol caliber in Canada. I paid $700 for it and they are offering $3000 which wa a surprise. I wanted to get rid of it for ages as it is impractical and inaccurate.

I know this is "letting the liberals win" by letting them parade more "scary guns taken off the street", but $4200 would buy me a nice nightforce scope for a rifle I actually care about and can still use on weekends. Every other restricted firearm I own I am going to wait and exhaust all legal options holding on to them.
>>
>>64781532
>$4200 would buy me a nice nightforce scope for a rifle I actually care about and can still use on weekends
That's assuming you'll see even see a cent of that 4200 lmao
>>
>>64781510
you dont even own a steyr scout which is the only true scout rifle
>>
>>64781541
I am in a province where a law was passed demanding full compensation for gun owners even if the federal program runs out of money, and they will block its seizure unless full value is paid first.
So nothing to risk. You can also withdraw or revise your application at any time if a better option emerges before the march deadline.

I am actually looking into European gun auctions to offload my more expensive and rare stuff, better in the hands of a new owner than melted down. The two mentioned above are unsellable in europe as VZ-58 and skorpion variants are way too common there.
>>
>>64781532
>destroying a Skorpion because they'll totally give you $3k just trust them bro
>never mind that you have no recourse and they've screwed over half of people so far
KYS you retarded gorilla fucking jungle ape nigger
>>
>>64781532
You cannot with any certainty expect to receive any money from the buy back, even by their own words. Its first come first serve, and you don't know where or what position you are in or ho much of the pooled money is left. All of the money that is left could easily be already spent by retailers selling their stock of banned firearms. But even still, dont comply at all. Strip he m84 and keep the rest as a parts kit, which you could sell, as for the CZH 2003, id wait. 600 is nothing and probably would be worth more as a "deactivated" firearm should you absolutely need to sell it down the line.
>>
>>64781592
>You can also withdraw or revise your application at any time if a better option emerges before the march deadline.
Anon, they won't even consider going back to the drawing board unless the buy back is a miserable failure, so well after the march deadline
>>
>>64781610
>Its first come first serve
It's not even that, some of the very first 16 people in the pilot program got fucked over, it's completely random, an actual lottery ticket system

IF you can find one, a FJ Cruiser by Toyota is a great all terrain vehicle for Canadian roads and forests, specced correctly. If you just want a normal daily, get a Mazda 3 from 2014-2016.

based on the claims numbers latest updates, it's around 7000 so far. God knows what that includes, but keep in mind there are AT LEAST 70,000 restricted PAL holders with registered now-prohibited formerly restricted firearms. Multiple that by at least one order of magnitude for the number of PAL holders with formerly NR now-prohibited rifles.
>>
>>64780787
The number of registered firearms in the country when the LGR was abolished was just over 12 million including handguns and rifles. That was in 2012-2013. That number has ballooned significantly since then. A 2017 UN survey had it pegged around 13-20 million.
>>
>>64781637
Registration alone by RCMP's own admittance had only a 40-70% compliance rate, mainly because of all the purchases that occurred after it came into effect, and even the PAL licensing had only a 50-70% compliance rate when changing from the old version.
>>
>>64781629
nope jeff cooper said it has to be a synthetic stock, have a bipod that does not protrude from the stock, and an extra mag stored in the rear of the stock.
the magazine also needs a cutoff for single round feeding
>>
>>64781647
He's dead and you have to adapt a platform to modern standards and developments.
>>
>>64781532
Like the other anon said, if you deactivate the CZH 2003 you could get probably $800 for it. Better than pumping the feds numbers up.
>>
>>64781532
That’s a whole lotta words to say “I’m a massive cucked goyniggercattle”

You (and every other faggot that complies with “buyback” no refunds goy) should be ground up into a thin paste and what's left of you should be pushed into a comically-large rube-goldberg machine that plays yakkity-sax while it turns your biomass into lubricants suitable for use by lockheed martin for F-35s and the next block of F-16s.

All ammo still exists. You can find anything online but it was always sold out from my normal places for quite a while pre-covid, and cost too much for its shit performance. I checked now and of the ammo specialty 5 sites I went to only tenda had it in stock, and even they were picked over on most options.

I still have around 100 rounds of S&B left, but the 5 round mags are not pistol mags under our law, the thing is just tedious and the folding stock is awful. I would be more willing to keep it if it was legally a handgun.,, but it isnt and that is why I was ready to sell it before the government told me I wasnt allowed to sell it anymore. Its a cold war novelty.

True but not really fair to compare a $399 entry level rifle to a $900 CZ rimfire. Some 457 can go north of $1500.

The most important criterium of the scout concept, is its mobility; the size and wieght.
The nagant fails spectacularly on both fronts.
Even the carbine version manages to fail both.
