Do you personally like the Glock 17 or 19 better? Why?I like the aesthetics of the 19 better I think, but the 17 just fits the hand better and is easier to shoot without training- which I never do.
I prefer the 19. My gen 3 19s have an Agency magwell, which helps me maintain a much firmer and higher grip.
>>6482168417. The 19 is a meme, 17 is BARELY bigger but you get 2 extra rounds, slight velocity increase and slightly more shootability. If the 19(or 26) were thinner they would be better but as it is idk how the 19 became the reddit recommendation for ccw
19
>>64821702Based. I’ve got quite a few guns. A gen 2 17 is one of them. It was a trade in from the department of corrections.
>>64821750Do you shoot while wearing gardening gloves?
G L O C KLOCK
>>64821760no.
>>64821760Yes.
>>64821702The 19 is better for CCW because it's smaller. The smaller the gun the easier it is to conceal, which is the end goal of an EDC. Most are willing to compromise on a few rounds in order to have a gun that doesn't print like the 17 and is more comfortable
g29 is best, faggot.
>>64821750Are you a nig, or do you believe a regular ass gen 2 G17 is worth handling with white gloves?I'd respect you more if you're black.
>>64821797>laser>stock irons>apartment blindsLOL
>>64821777Holy trips
>>64821684The 19. The 19 is already too big to carry in most situations (hot climate here), so the 17 is pointless if you're not a cop. Aesthetics? LOL, it's a Glock. It has the aesthetics of a wheeled plastic trash can and the ergos of one of those weird old european ww1 era automatics that looks like it was designed for alien physiology.
>>64821810I’m white. I have just had bad experience in the past with giving out too much personal information online.I just feel weird about posting pictures of myself online- even just my skin.
I prefer the 17, I shot the 19 several times and I decided I hate glocks. Shot the 19 and some of the baby glocks, decided they weren't so bad after all and that I just don't like the 19.
>>6482168417owned all sizes 26/19/1719s great if you can only have onei live in america i can waste all the money i want on what i want. if you have a 26 you carry that if you want a small gun, no need for the 19. if i want to shoot 17.19s a compromise and i dont need to. the 19 sits unused forever.
17 slide on 19 frame, if I ever go with Glocks. Could go with a 34, but I don't like the cut-out on top.
>>64821684Can you really tell the difference? They all feel the same in the hand and the waistband>Oh muh 2 rounds>Oh but the sight radius>Oh but the miniscule change in frame sizeIt's a fucking handgun, the difference of an inch to sight radius means next to nothing. The trigger and sights are the same between models (dogshit), the size difference is negligible in a discussion of carryability. If it's my pick, the 19 because it can use 17 mags
>>64821968>Can you really tell the difference? yes you can>They all feel the same in the hand they have distinctly different shapes to thema 19 is not a 17 with a little chopped off. you can tell since the finger grooves are in different spots.>and the waistbandthat part feels the same. if you were using a generic glock kydex holster it feels the same cause it feels like the holster
43x is goated no point in anything else. nobody with a brain carries a full size glock if they are trying to conceal at all
>>64821993Now post the width view
>>64822018>nobody with a brain carries a full size glock if they are trying to conceal at allplenty of people dont really give a shit if they print. just that its legally "concealed"bunch of other shit like the way you dress or walk will scream out hey this guys got a gun to anybody who knows vs a bulge that might be a gun.if its im carrying illegally or im going to get fired if anyone notices i have a gun on the job site then you need to minmax with a microcompact. thats not most people.
>>64821684The third option
19 with LTT anchor
>>64821684Glock 19, it hits a Goldilocks zone of being the smallest gun that you can shoot almost as well as a full-sized while being meaningfully easier and more comfortable to conceal. Not the biggest fan of the fullsize 9mms, I don't think they shoot better enough to justify the size increase, think it's a personal thing though due to my hand shape/size. If I'm ok with going bigger than a G19 then I'm going straight for a G21, the extra girth/weight does a lot more for me and they're a lot more comfortable in the hand while being light recoiling enough with standard pressure ammo
>>64822066What glock is that? What kind of autism do you need to have in order to identify glocks without looking at the number on the slide?
>>6482212619X, easy to tell since it's the only baby shit colored one
i have both and the 19 seems to be faster to get back on target. i think the recoil characteristics of the lighter slide and barrel contribute to that. if i got another glock it would probably be a 45, and just split the difference since i like the 17's grip size better.
>>64821684It's entirely dependent on hand size. If the 19 isn't too small for your hand, there's literally nothing the 17 can do that the 19 can't do justasgood.
>>64821702>(or 26) were thinner they would be betterIsn't that what the 43 is?
>>64821684I prefer the 17.
>>64822799Based. I love my Gen 2.
>>64822066This is the correct option - the best feeling Glock.
If I got a trade in Glock used in law enforcement, can I find out if it was ever used in a shooting?
>>6482168447 is best. Gen 6 17 may be the new best. Time will tell. I have no gen 6 yet.
>>64821702>17 is BARELY bigger but you get 2 extra roundsPop a 17 mag in the 19 if you want more rounds>slight velocity increasenegligible and functionally fuck all on anything actually worth shooting with a 9mm >slightly more shootability same as the second point
>>64822860Working in security. One SIG in the company safe had a police case number on it. My instructor said, Oh, you noticed? That gun was used in a suicide. Dang!
>>64821797Use the straps on your goddamn gloves GLOVEFAG
>>64822066>>64822851You are as brown as your gun. For me, it is the Glock 17.
>>64821684I respect Glocks, they're popular for good reasons, but personally I didn't enjoy holding it because I thought it felt like a toy, which is strange since I enjoyed handling pic related; probably autism or something...
>>64821797god fuckin damn it, i told you to stop posting my photos and larping as a firearm owner you fuckin faggot piece of shit. fuck you.

>CCW43x with PSA Dagger mags for 15 rounds.>open carry and general use17.It's as shrimple as that.
>>64821702Bruh if you want the extra two rounds just...use a G17 mag in the G19. The velocity increase is like 50fps which is basically within factory load deviation parameters. I guess the 17 shoots better but nowhere near enough to make the size difference between the two meaningless.
>>64822790Who the fuck has hands too big for a G19? That arm wrestling guy who looks like wreck it ralph? Some of you guys live in fantasies.
>>64823606>CCW>43x with PSA Dagger mags for 15 rounds.Idiotic. Not only because there's zero reason to pick the short barrel long grip combo for a CCW, but because you're trusting fucking PSA aftermarket mags for a gun you carry to defend your life if necessary.
>>64823980Nta, it honestly took me forever to realize it but they are a bit smaller than ideal for me. I use up 100% of the vertical space but the real issue is finger/hand length with my skeltor hands vs the circumference of the grip. This means that your LOP is weird and it's easier to use too much/too little trigger finger since it doesn't naturally line up as well. It also makes the rest of your grip a little weird because less of your hand is actually in contact with the gun even when you're using 100% of the grip real estate because you've got more hand than gun. On top of that if your hands arent extra meaty the center of your palms aren't really applying as much pressure due to the lack of girth, it's more so the edge of your hands. You can kinda see what I'm talking about if you make a claw or cupping gesture with your hand, the center of your palm is slightly recessed compared to the edges.None of this is meant to say that it's a "big deal" I literally didn't notice until I'd been shooting for almost 20yrs and tried some double stack .45s that actually really fill my hands. They feel better but shoot comparably. I definitely get people having a preference for something larger grip wise than the 19 though.
>>6482168417L
>>64823664The real difference is how it recoils. Not a massive change but you do have to work a little harder with a 19. This is why the 47 (and potentially gen 6 17) is best, it's simply the best glock to actually shoot.
>>64824109nta but OP here. What you’re saying about the grip is kinda how I feel with the 19. I’ve held and shot a 19 before, and it bothered me that my pinky wasn’t on the grip/ completely on it. It felt cramped to me, and since a Glock kinda feels like a brick anyway, you could imagine how it felt. lol with the 17, I’ve got plenty of room. Like the room left is basically none. It lines up pretty much perfectly. I do however like smaller guns though. Like I’ve got a little S&W 3913, and it’s got a heel on the mag. For me it feels perfect along with that single stack slimness. I’d never have a single stack Glock though because I feel like it’s just wrong.
I got the new 19 gen 6 and I want aftermarket sights. What is the top tier option if I want fiber optic and tritium since trijicon only has tritium
>>64823596no, I'm not a fucking loser who has sex, you retarded faggot. now shut the fuck up you fuckin homophile.
>>64821684>17 just fits the hand better19X
What’s your opinion of Joker’s Glock?Do we like stainless slides or are they gay?
>>64824543Looks gay
>>64824109Sounds to me like you just are realizing that Glocks have shitty ergos and shitty triggers which is something I realized when I bought my first G19 like 15 years ago.
I enjoy my 17 gen 5. The grip is ever so slightly longer than a 19 which gives good purchase on the gun. Very subjective. Either gun will serve well. I think the Glock 45 was a neat concept. Something like a 19 slide on a 17 frame if I remember right. Saves you some length for a suppressor but we’re talking like barely any length.
>>6482168417, but I don’t CC it.
>>64821993You don't have them adjusted properly. Look how the front sight on the 17 doesn't touch the scale and there's a red line along the entire top of the slides.
>>64821684>G45 MOS threaded, compensatedIt was my first, brand new, so it's still here...>G43Used, cheap, the only subcompact I own.>G17 gen 4Used, cheap, for home defense or whatever.>What's wrong ?I feel I could replace all of them with an all purposes single and cheap threaded G26 gen 4, from an utility standpoint Then I would buy a 17L gen 6 if they are available some day, because longbois are cool. >>64825073I don't think he could close his hand around my little pecker.
>>64824934Nope, ergos are great, XL size is better for xl hands. Have fun with your snowflake opinion
>>64825003Even if its a pixel off the amount of backstrap and where the fingergrooves are is way more than a pixel. if you want to go line it up perfectly and post it go ahead.if the 17 fits you perfectly the 19 has your pinky in an anoying place. its only an issue for those with larger hands.
I have medium hands and the 19 seems just right. It's about the biggest I'd go for concealed carry and I seem to shoot better with it than the 17. I also like how it looks and how ubiquitous it is in terms of compatibility. It can use mags and holsters for the 17 but a 17 wouldn't work with 19 mags and holsters and that's a big plus.
>>64825290>snowflake opinionYeah, I'm the snowflake, along with tens of millions of G19 owners, not you with your mega freak hands.
>>64823980More grip is more better. You don't need to be a giant to reap the advantage of a g17 over a g19.As for me, both are too big for carry, so might as well go full size because it's easier to draw and shoot.
The best gun is the one you are comfortable with and the one you carry the most

> no gen 6 g34
you guys are insane. Glock has the aesthetics of a injecttion molded trashbinif that wasnt enough, the ergonomics are such shit that most people who buy glocks end up paying double the original purchase price to add on grips, optics, barrels, and all manner of shenanigans. cops carry glock because they can modify the gun that was FREE in the first place (to them).boomer/millennial glazing of glock needs to end. the polymer market has evolved since at least 2012

>>6482168417because i have big boy hands>>64821698the only tolerable addition to a glock is a 30s mag
In terms of ammo preparing for a scenario where war breaks out, or the US is invaded- would it be stupid going all in on 9mm for my Glock? If no, then how many rounds of ammo would you get? How many mags? How many 30 round mags?
>>64833248I think you'd be better off buying some type of rifle chambered in .223 or 5.56 than relying on a lone glock in a hypothetical war scenario
