Maybe there's a difference with guns built off military designs, but I know for a fact that both have issues with common guns. I had a .22 and a single shot 16 gauge, both of which snapped springs and would no longer fire. The pirate gun I had actually worked pretty well, but simply starting shooting itself to death after about 100 shells. Stock came loose and screws and pins started wiggling out from that point on. I briefly owned a Turkish 12 gauge pump action as well, and had a pretty fun time at the gravel pit with some pals, at the end of the day I looked it over, and the pins holding the trigger group in where just gone. It was all held together by a weird pistol grip design, and I managed to find one pin. I traded it for a few hundred 12 gauge shells, and a sling. Just don't rely on one of these things if you buy one.
