>$39.7 billion Rafale deal with France becomes India's largest-ever defence contract

>Israel has agreed arms deals with India worth $8.6 billion in 2026, making Israel India's biggest weapons supplier after France

>India cements France as its top defence partner with a record $39.7 billion deal for 114 additional Rafale fighter jets—nearly five times larger than any previous contract. The mega-order dwarfs 2018's $5.4 billion Russian S-400 deal and Israel's recent $8.6 billion missile package, clearly signalling India's strategic pivot toward Western military hardware.

jeets lost the toilet war big time and are preparing for a revenge op
they think more = better
it'll be fun to watch them lose again considering pakis are getting j-35s with pl-17, new chink sams and z-10s

>36 rafale
>8.7 fucking billion
What in the world
>114 rafale
>39.7 billion
The french are fleecing these jeets holy shit

>Send 1000000 jeets to France
>Get 50 billion in remittance
>Use it to pay rafale

>350 million per plane
Even with spare parts this is insane. The F-35 contracts are ~120 million per plane.
>>
>>64873880
The contract also includes weapons and a license for domestic production.
>>
And here comes the double digits IQ retards that can only divide a contract's $ per planes.
Fucking clockwork.
>>

>>64873880
You guys need to start reading the contracts.

Far as i can tell this seems to be a number of deals that aren't all for France
https://www.navalnews.com/naval-news/2026/02/india-set-to-order-114-rafale-fighters-and-six-p-8i-patrol-aircraft/
most notably 3 billion for 8 p-8's
>>
>>64874037
>most notably 3 billion for 8 p-8's
Are the 8 P-8s just the first batch to be ordered? It feels like India should have a fleet of 100 of these guys just to cover their entire coast line
>>
>>64874037
I have a feeling that 30% of it is actually for the plane and another 30% to corrupt jeet bureaucrats and the remaining 40% to buy the French to stop them from exposing jeet corruption. No way a plane is that fucking expensive.
>>
>>64873839
If the jeets actually bother to send up AWACS this time it'll be a turkey shoot
>>
>>64874078
It's a second batch. They already have 12 in service.
>>
>>64873929
The biggest cost for planes is maintenance from flight hours, unless Rafale is also contracted to maintain and fuel all their planes, this makes no sense

Exposing massive corruption in their fighter procurement could be lulzworthy. Bofors scandal in 80's basically halted all the artillery procurement for Indian army for 25 years. The crime wasn't bribery or accepting the bribes, the crime was exposing the bribes. Artillery as part of army responsible for blowing up corruption in open was rightfully collectively punished for it for a generation.
>>
>>64873664
It is. 36 billions for taking infinite pajeets. It's not worth it.
>>
>>64873949
How's that employee stock package? Bought yourself your pavillon de banlieue yet?
>>
>>64874078
Indian defense is a bit of a joke. For example it's Congress has an authorized minimum of 42 air squadrons. Because of acquisition delays, maintainence shortfals, corruption, etc, it has only 29. The air force in India really acts as political theater for the BJP, it is used to make a dramatic show of launching air strikes into Pakistan/paki terrorist bases (alleged) everytime there is some flare up

So this is an admission that the Indian attempts to build a domestic defense industry have categorically failed?
