GAWD FUCKING HELL WHAT 22LR SILENCER SHOULD I BUY, THERE ARE OVER A HUNDRED FUCKTILLION TO CHOOSE FROM
>>
PRINTED?
MODULAR?
STEEL?
TITANIUM?
MONOCORE?
COMPATIBLE WITH 223 ON A BOLT ACTION?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>
Just 3D print one, takes a day or two at most
Any?
>>
unpopular opinion but suppressor for .22lr isn't necessary the last time I shot my 10/22 without earpro and it didn't even set off my tinnitus
>>
>>64873970
WHAT?
>>
Whichever one is cheapest with whatever mount you need.
>>
>>64873970
i like to suppress .22 just because its so fucking cool when its that quiet
>>
>>64873945
If you don't have specific needs just buy a rangetool because it's cheap and works.
>>
b&t tiger
>>
>>64874804
those do come highly reviewed, I'm just suspicious of a seal design for 22

Any of them except the cheapest or most expensive one.
This advice applies to literally everything.
>>
>>64873970
>unpopular opinion
Because it's a fucking stupid one.
>the last time I shot my 10/22 without earpro and it didn't even set off my tinnitus
>anon who has already done horrendous damage to his ears keeps adding on more and thinks you should too
Yeah.

I have really bad news for you.

Eliminate ones with aluminum baffles because you want to be able to use harsh cleaning methods
Eliminate ones that don't have some kind of shield or sealing to keep carbon off the ID of the tube because you want to be able to get it apart
Eliminate modular ones because why would you make something that weighs a scant 6 ounces lighter and far less effective*
What you're left with is more manageable

*it's reasonable to ignore this one if there is a crazy deal on something like a Rugged Oculus
>>
I immediately think less of someone if they have segmented cans. What a faggy gimmick.
>>
>>64873970
>Just be deaf already and then you don't need earpro
>>
oh fuck yes there is a black version of the Tiger22 coming out
>>
>>64873970
That says a lot about your ears

i was in the same position so i just asked my gun obsessed friend to choose one and bought it without research. he also didn't seem to care about many of the differences, just the mounting so i could actually use it.
>>
>>64874821
I think there's actually one on the AR.

I bought ase utra, I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty light, and fairly cheap at around 80 euros, and works very well.

Take all of the models you like the most, assign each a number, and use an RNG to choose.

>>64873970

Yeah, because it's fucking nigger-tier stupid.
>>
>>64873970
Bait post, but if you're shooting a .22lr rifle outdoors and there's no other guns being fired in the vicinity, then you really don't need earpro.
Can't say the same about .22lr handguns, though.
>>
On 22 LR it really does not matter what it is made of and how. Get the smallest and lightest one. I have one with injection molded plastic innards with just a aluminum washer to protect the first baffle. It's fine.
>>
>>64874804
this but make sure it's the new one not the old one, they both have the same name and it's confusing
>>
>>64873970
yeah 10/22 without a can is quiet as fuck no shit, it has an 18in barrel, try shooting a 22 pistol with a 3 inch barrel without ear pro
>>
who invited the tripfag retard?
>>
>>64877200
Just filter it and move on, talking about it just gives it encouragement
>>
>>64873945
is the 6th from the right an aem5 22 clone?
>>
>>64877209
I believe it's a little bird from AB
>>
>>64874804
If B&T could drop that price another $150 maybe
>>
>>64877290
$400 for a Swiss printed titanium can isn't that bad desu. I paid $550+$200 for my Mask some years back
>>
>>64873970
22lr out of rifles isn't loud but from pistols sure is it
>>
>>64879116
$400 for a printed can that's impossible to clean and will permanently fill up with lead because of its internal complexity and can't even be dipped because it's made of weak titanium is pretty bad. Your Mask is steel and user serviceable.
>>
What is the process for legally making a suppressor these days? What about buying one of those cheap solvent traps and serializing it and submitting it as a home built one? Genuinely curious if there is a legal way to go about that.
>>
are there any brands that are just always good to go and well priced?

my Chinese 22 kits are trash, even when I clipped the baffles. they only sound good when shot wet.

NTA but mine is fuckin great. Can be a hair picky about lube but haven't had ammo issues. Mostly use cci sem-auto subs and cci hollow points.
Great for possums, coons, skunks, and rabbits.
Also, pretty sure they make an 80 dollar frt for TX22s now
>>
>>64873945
Something by KAC if they have one available; they make good shit.
>>
>>64882025
How can you go about legally buying one say off of e-bay listed as a "fuel filter" Because if you purchase it before filling out the background check with a serial number you would be breaking the law right? But they're not serialized so you'd almost have to get one and put a serial # on it in order to even be able to register it... It's like some catch 22 bullshit.
>>
>>64875477
.22 out of a rifle is hearing safe
>>
>>64873945
Go with one that has removable ends. BOTH ends. Sig has one with a fixed base and baffles that have timing notches so they line up the same. You pretty much have to fish out the baffles with a wire bent at the end and yank hard. Or put something in from the base.

>>64873970
10/22 with subs is on the edge of what I'd call comfortable. I wouldn't do it a lot. It feels okay, but man do I feel like if I knew the real numbers I'd never do it. That being said, having a silencer, I don't do it.
