The M11 is acclaimed as an excellent special forces tier pistol. Why didn’t sig just modernize it to make the M18?22x series seem better than their janky precocked striker counterpart in every way except cost of manufacture.
>>64880417Plastic striker fired pistols are cheaper to make.
The 365 is the 320 but without the baggage and Sig is already pivoting to it.
>>64880417The only thing that can save Sig is unequivocally taking responsibility for trying to cover up selling a gun that goes off by itself.
>>64880426I thought it ended “today”
>>64880419The 365 would be really good if the entire dual nested recoil spring assembly wasn't rated for ONLY 2500 ROUNDS BEFORE REPLACEMENT. Fucking live service as a gun, fuck that shit.
>>64881285They sell springs off the shelf king
>>64881315Not the point, it's more that most recoil springs will go far over that round count without needing a replacement. They're just trying to force you to consume more of their product as part of their "ecosystem". Like how phone manufacturers do new shit every year and you HAVE to upgrade because your shit will slow down and stop working. Also shitholes like California where they require crazy legal shit to sell you even a spring.
>>64881340>gun manufacturers force you to download updates for your gun that alter its performance so you buy the new models
>>64880417Why would anyone ever trust this company at this point? Oh, wait. Is there such a thing as “battered wife” syndrome in men?
the p320 is the "modernized" p229.Almost everyone wants a glock or cheaper glock clone. and by that I mean military and police contracts whom most of the market caters to.The p320 should have worked, but Sig fucked it up. Id bet my left nut that if they had to produce a DA/SA platform like the p226 or 229 for a major contract like that military, they'd cut corners and fuck that up too
>>64880417How young are you that you don't remember the Sig Pro/SP2022? It was a "modernized" P229 in the way that it used a polymer frame and was cheaper, and it was better than the P320 in every way. It was commercially successful throughout the 2000s, and it still got pushed aside for the P320 because striker-fired pistols give higher profit margins and military/LEO organizations like them because they're easier to train retarded recruits to use them.
>>64881373t. someone who reps a company whos unofficial motto is "because you suck, and we hate you"
>>64881815If by modernized you mean like succession war era “upgrades” that replaced tech nobody could manufacture with janky less effective/safe alternatives >>64882029And now the company is radioactive with all their products selling on the market ar a SIGnificant discount.
>>64880417“Sig” as in Sig-Sauer is not the same company as SIG, the Swiss arms company that created the P22x series. “Sig-Sauer” is an American company that was created for the purpose of importing SIG and JP Sauer and Sohn firearms to the US. At some point they started making their own guns, but to be clear, they are not the same company as SIG in Switzerland, which is why guns like the P320 are so soulless.
>>64880417What’s joke of the meme?
>>64881285Guys on Youtube have 2-15X that roundcount and its fine.
>>64883882It’s the avatar of the retarded faggot (literally gay, talks about taking prep and other aids medications) who made it. He’s a plague on the board, if you ever figure out where he works report him as a potential school shooter (he works at a school), he idolizes serial killers
>>64883940>it’S thE AvATAr oF THE retardEd FAGgot (liTErALly gAy, taLKS About TAkIng preP AnD oTHER AiDs MEdiCATIons) wHo mAde iT. He’s a plaGUE on THe boARD, iF yOU evER FIGURe ouT wheRe he WorkS REPoRt Him As a PotENtIAL sChoOL sHoOTer (hE wOrKs aT a sChOoL), hE IdolizEs SERiAl killers!
>>64880417Nah, p229 is a pretty mid gun. Not USP levels of mid but still very underwhelming. After Sig sigged up the design back in the later 00s or early 2010s they have plenty of reliability issues too, to the point that they were sued by LEAs who bought the guns under contract and were delivered shitty post change guns instead. There's only on final solution to the ((Sig)) problem at this point. Getting the same vampire who's fucked over every other gun company he's ran out of there and gutting the thing to build it back up
>>64880417>"sig sauer, never settle">settles in court
>>64881285If that's upsetting look into FNs policy, either send your gun back into the factory every 2500rnds for "inspection" or your warranty is voided. I'm not kidding.>>64882029>was commercially successful throughout the 2000s Sp2022 was a very underrated handgun for the prices they went for. That being said they were never commercially successful compared to the rest of sigs lineup in the US. It was a handgun that only existed because of a large french contract, they already had set up to make the things so they sold them commercially too. It was a redheaded stepchild of their product line as their brand identity at the time was almost entirely hammer fired metal framed Da/sa guns for the people who didn't want to swap to polymer striker fired guns. I like the thing but they were never popular.
>>64884167He's correct faggot.
>>64883940It's a larping woman with a castration fetish lol. You're playing into her delusions
>>64880417Because regardless of the merits of the 22X series it just wasn't what the military wanted in the XM18 program. They specifically wanted something smaller, lighter and more modular. The Sig P320 fit that criteria very well, and Sig had a good reputation therefore it was selected. If they wanted a metal framed DA/SA pistol they would have just stuck with the Beretta 92 series.Of course because they rushed adoption, skipped most of the testing and Sig underbid the contract the pistols they got had a lot of problems. These are not problems that can't be fixed, but a lot of heartache could have been avoided with proper evaluation, some design revisions and perhaps a less aggressively underbid unit cost. Military guns do get used a lot, it pays in the long run to spend an extra buck to ensure you get a product that lasts a long time. It also pays to spend enough to actually get what you ordered, but both Sig and the military are learning that lesson now even though none of this is new in the world of military procurement.>>64881815This too. Sig has gotten really complacent and seems to have an inside track on military/LE procurement (possibly some corruption going on). They are not putting their best foot forward with their newer designs.>>64884212It is a shame that the SP2022 didn't get as much love as it deserved, but it was in a crowded market. At that time you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a dozen polymer framed double stack DA/SA 9mm/.40S&W pistols. Now it is a sea of Glock clones instead, so the 2022 looks practically exotic by comparison since it is hammer fired. What really ground my gears is that Sig did the FN thing and made the 2022 only accept a new magazine pattern even though they could easily have made it take the existing 226, 228 or 229 pattern but they really wanted to wallet-rape everyone who bought one. Their OEM magazines were stupendously expensive for a budget gun, which was also common practice at the time.
>>64884226I love androgynous women, he is not one of them
>>64880417The only thing that can save Sig is an oven
>>64884324I thought the selfie was foid?
>>64884324Sorry that you're just now realizing insane ftm fujoshi (but I repeat myself) are insufferable
>>64884518How do you know it’s ftm?
>>64884756I mean, where to start? She basically hits every flag>Womanly histrionics>The castration fetish>Yaoi>The hyperfixation on one character and how he plays into her castration fetish I've met twinks, I've met insufferable giant faglords, I've met fujoshi, I've met troons of both categories. This is a fujoshi that trooned out to be like one of her hot anime boys if I've ever seen it
>>64884798I’m not an ftm troon reeeeeee!>fujoYou’re one to talk with your vintage anime!
>>64884288>dead catGrim
>>64884961YWNBAM, honey. Only weird stinky fujos get off the destroying the natural perfection that is a Man's dong and nuts.
>>64887413I’m male, I thought you knew that by now. I probably should be worried that I don’t come off as that but whatever. That show sucks for killing all of their anti villains so early and focusing on annoying protags. If Garma carried a P320 he’d have died to it btw.
>>64881285Not defending sig here, I would never own a US sig, but aren't basically all subcompacts like this?
>>64885976What?
why would you go with sig saar at any point these days given the vast amount of gun companies that are not run by ron cohen>checks online, he is getting replaces on march 1ststill not enoughalso, this price on LEO trade ins (aka unwanted because they might go off for no fucking reason) sig 320s too high?https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/black-friday.cfm/sale/used-firearms/brand/sig-saueri might get one if it was like $200 out the door but add in tax, ffl fee and shipping and over $300 is way too much for one of these
>>64888171Because I like DA/SA and their p239 seems to be an almost modern version of the Makarov which I really like. Beretta would have been the other cheap option but they’re way too wide.
>>64888171And yeah that’s too fucking high for a death trap. Once the price drops under 200$ I might buy one and the after market striker restraining safety kit.
