Paul Harrell re tested this which a mocked up arm and body and even the modern 9mm didn't do so well. Energy doesn't kill people or stop them in pistols. Momentum does. The old 357 158g hunting ammo they just relabeled police ammo with the exposed lead top that looked like it was cut by pinking shears was absolutely devastating. That's the ammo that got the 357 mag it's man stopper rep. Penetration was amazing and by today's standards would be considered "over" even though that's a retarded take.
