What do you include in your 3 day pack? I'm putting together a new pack and just wanted to see what people are rocking with. Bigger packs are welcome too, but let's try to talk about packs that you can survive atleast 3 days with.
I can survive 3 days with a bottle of water.
>>64888845Obviously you can just rough it
>>64888835Water, water purification, water purification backup, water purification back up back up. Shelter, shelter backup, fire, fire backup. Food, food backup. Fleshlite, fleshlite backup.
>>64888858>Fleshlite, fleshlite backup.how do you pack a deer, let alone two?
>>64888867I dont need the whole deer.
>>64888835How many bullets should you carry in a 3-day pack?
>>64888900I carry 180rnds on my kit and I could fit another 160 in my pack if I really wanted to. Right now I don't carry any extra ammo in my 3-day pack. If I needed more I would bring my 160l bag.
>>6488890012 mags min, 20 is better if you have the space. If you’re the ammo bearer you should have 30 in your bag. keep in mind every man also needs to carry 2 belts for the M240 plus two AT4s on his back.
>>64888900>>64888934Oh damn you guys were looking at this from a grunt perspective. In that case it really depends on METT-TC and what systems other guys are using. I know people that were deployed in Afghanistan usually brought 15 mags for an 1 day patrol.
>>648888352-3k calories worth of food per day, three liters of water per day, water purification tablets in case of emergency, utensils depending on the food you brought, sleeping supplies based on your climate and preference, first aid kit, way to contact emergency services - ideally a satphone, one or two changes of clothes, multiple pairs of clean socks, toilet paper because you're not a fucking savage, a solid fixed blade knife, navigation toolsAnything /k/ related, guns and ammo in particular, are just personal preference
>>64888835Water bottle and sleeping bag. I've gone three days without food before and it wasn't that bad.
>>64888845gonna need salt to live 3 days on water alone.
Drones
I carry a pistol, fixed blade knife, flashlight, lighters, gloves, and multitool on my person at all times. In addition to that I carry a survival kit everywhere I go that can be transferred between various packs, including small day packs. It includes- basic first aid supplies- rain poncho- lifestraw water filter - water bottle- mini duct tape roll - compass- vial of raw honey- lens wipes- spare glasses- magnified range finder- paracord- power bank- batteries- matches- blaze orange bandana- spare flashlight- sharpening kit- silky f180 saw and 2 spare blades- mini hacksaw with 2 32tpi blades- mini prybar- 6" doublecut file- pencil- birch bark- ice cleats- hex key set- copper wire- neodymium magnet- trash bag- netting bag- spare pistol parts and punch- spare earplugsThese are all the things I need not only for daily life, but also to improvise a solution to any problem in a survival situation. For three days and beyond I simply throw this kit into a larger pack with shelter, bedding, clothes, a cooking pot, food, a spare gun and knife, and little else.
>>64888835You just need water, food, and shelter. I'm pretty much just going to stuff it with that if it's for 3 damn days. I need 24lbs of water for 3 days if moving around a lot, and plenty of food. The bulk of their weight is just gonna be food+water.
ay yo, what blew up in crimea?
