I designed a very simple 12 gauge bolt-action shotgun made to take Saiga 12 mags.
Could that possibly work?
Do you have any ideas how to improve it, or what's your overall opinion on this?
(I don't have much experience with gunsmithing)

Switch it out for 1919-pattern magazines (turkish shotgun mags) or come up with an adapter so it can take both.
1919s are generally cheaper and there's now a large domestic supply in the US courtesy of mall ninja shotguns in every gun store.

You should build one to test.
Can give us the update once your fingers are reattached.

Well i made it so that one tube covers another where the shell is during firing, wouldn't that absorb pressure enough to be safe?
