Is the P365 as good as they say It Is?
If not, then what could be better?

The P365 in 9mm and the Bodyguard 2.0 in .380 basically blow everything else out of the water in terms of concealed carry options.
>>
>>64959018
There's really not a big difference between P365, Hellcat, Shield Plus. There is no need for exaggerating.

The 365's molecularity and aftermarket options make it a step above other double stack micro 9s IMO.

Turns a pistol into a money pit imho
Really not necessary, but spend on what you love

Nope
Bought a CC9 sold my other micro 9s
It was a piece of shit
Constant jams with all ammo types. Serious ones too, like failure to extract and double feeds. None were quick fixes to get back to shooting. And when I looked online I wasn't alone, it was shockingly common.

Hk USA took years to release this gun when it was practically finished and its clear why. Their QC sucks and can't consistently make a good pistol. Most of their other Hk USA pistols still have the majority of parts made in Germany. CC9 was the first 100% made in the US and its shit

tl;dr CC9 is shit only buy Hk Germany
>>
>>64959074
Its personal choice, the base model 365s are like 500-600 new anyways
>>
>>64959026
The p365 is noticeably smaller than every other micro compact, for some people it may be too small. Definitely the easiest to carry 9mm
>>
>>64958934
There's a long list of 1.5-stack guns that are about the same as each other (reliable, slightly thinner than a double stack). The P365's advantage is that it is still the smallest/lightest one on the market, but you can't go wrong with a Hellcat, Reflex, Equalizer, etc.

>>64959053
>molecularity
I shall compare the molecules of each gun on the market.
>>
>>64959099
checked, (HK user) Nothing about the CC9 is attractive or interesting. I had hopes they'd bring out a CC45 but at this point am waiting for S&W to release a Plus (new trigger) version of the Shield 45.
For the actual HK micro 9 I was and still am waiting for picrel
>>
>>64959175
Yeah I jumped on it without thinking much about the 100% HK USA part. After owning so many HKs over the years I just ASSumed it would be the best micro 9mm ever made. Should have bought a P30SK or something but whatever lesson learned
>>
>>64959099
Damn thats disappointing. I was looking to buy my first micro 9 and really thought that the CC9 was the one. I guess I have to reevaluate my other options. Maybe I don’t even bother with any of them and just start pocket carrying a bodyguard 2.0 instead of my m&p compact.
>>
for me, it's the glock 42
>>
>>64958934
Pre-2019 P365? Avoid. Post-2019? Its ok.
Personally, I prefer tbe Hellcat Pro with Apex trigger.

If you go up, >>64958953.

Call me superficial all you want but "M&P Shield" is the gayest fucking fag name for a gun and I would never buy one and I've literally had gay sex with other men, if it's too faggy for me what does that say about the people who buy them. It either conjures up the image of cringe retard larpers with thin blue line Punisher stickers, or some Marvel/DC Comics superhero crossover slop, no matter how you slice it, it's an awful name for a gun

They're not so bad. Shield Plus is one of the best subcompacts available. Bodyguard 2.0 is 'honey I shrunk the Shield' in .380 ACP and Smith & Wesson did an excellent job engineering that pistol. M&P series handguns have steadily improved qc and slide finish over the past decade.

My dad got me one for xmas and it blew a chunk off the LCI. I haven't even shot 200 rounds and I already have to send it back to smith. Which Is why I'm looking at other firearms and asking about the p365. When I get it back I'm just going to trade it.
>>
>>64958934
It's good.
The stuff made to compete with it like the hellcat and the shield plus do.
It's not as durable as it ought to be. The finish wears too fast. The springs break too fast. But it'll do the job and do it well.
>>64959471
You are superficial, which is not surprising as you are an actual homo.
>>
>>64959512
How fast are we talking with the springs and finish?

>>
>>64959519
The trigger return springs have failed within a couple thousand rounds. It's enough of an issue that there's places online that sell replacements in 3-packs.
Other springs also wear out faster than they would on a full-size - the recoil springs have to absorb the same force as they would need to in a full-size, but harder and faster in a shorter distance, and being stiffer generally reduces spring life. If you're going to just carry it shouldn't be too much of an issue, but if you practice regularly keep an eye on the maintenance schedule, every few thousand rounds there's something that needs to be done.
The finish, well, depends on what you have rubbing against it, how much, and how corrosive your sweat is. Some report it coming apart after like half a year.
>>
>>64959547
(not a S&W expert but) The LCI versions are California-compliant as far as I know

Interestingly enough I was using Winchester ammo and my grandpa also had a gun of his blow up while also using Winchester. I was told the manufacturer blamed the ammo brand. Now I'm wondering if smith will do the same. Is Winchester no go for ammo?
>>
>>64959519
I sell guns for a living, the 365 is reliable enough, the spring do wear faster, but whew the finish.
The finish is okay when new but wears very fast. Even the polymer the frame is made of, you can scratch it with a fingernail with very little pressure and it won't rub off.
I noticed this with my friends wife's 365, it looked beat to death, and the frame would scuff just looking at it. Sure enough, I start working here and they're all the same. It's bizarre.
If it were me and I wanted something that would fill that same roll, I'd get a hellcat.
>>
>>64959471
why would I take advice from a fudge packer on how to look less faggy
>>
>>64963950
1. He's a top if he's packin that fudge
2. Gays know how to identify gays
3. Inversely gays know how to identify not gays
>>
>>64963575
One time my grandpa stuffed an eggplant up your grandpa's asshole at band camp. It wasn't gay because your grandpa cried the whole time.
>>
>>64958934
I edc my 365 out of preference, mostly for the trigger, but the Hellcat is also excellent and I really enjoyed the factory sights, gave it to my gf. I shot my buddy's early gen original Shield and for whatever reason I thought it felt a bit shit, hard to explain but somehow reminiscent of a nerf gun, I personally wont be buying one. Might pick up the P365 Rose or XMacro down the line just to see how they run. On another note, has literally anyone seen the Mossberg MC2sc in person or know anyone who has one? I have never encountered one or heard anyone talk about them ever and didnt even know they came out until learning about them by accident on Mossberg's site.
>>
>>64958934
My dad has one of these and he likes to take it out sometimes and shoot it.
It's fine. It's reliable, and it's never given him any problems with any of the ammo he's used.
That's really all that matters. Is it better than a Glock 43x? no. Is it better than a M&P shield 2.0? no. Does it have to be? no.
It's nice out of the box. it does gun things. it's a million times better than the handgun you're not going to carry.
>>
>>64963575
WWB is some of the cheapest shittiest ammo you can buy. Who knows where it comes from half the time.
It's better than TulAmmo.
>>
>>64959577
When my original spring wore out a long time ago, I replaced it with the ISMI spring. Still hasn't given out on me
>>
>>64964383

Shield 1.0s have that squishy Sigma trigger. 2.0 has something objectively better.
>>
>>64964466

yep still waiting for Smith & Wesson to bring out a Plus (from-the-factory new trigger) upgrade of picrel
>>

>>
>>64963575
Yeah WWB is shit. I'd sooner trust Monarch and that's rebranded ZSR
>>
>>64958934
I don’t like micro 9s because they’re boring.
There’s a very flat learning curve too so if you’re a decent shooter, shooting one a lot won’t really make you much of a better shooter since the accuracy margins are so narrow. Unless you have an optic of course.

How many rounds did you put through it and what kind?

You should never shoot less than 147gr for the first 500 round with a CC9. Then you can drop down to 124gr. They have to be broken in properly. CC9 is my daily carry. Put a few thousand rounds through it already. Never once had an issue.

NTA, but subcompacts have a very small iron sight radius, so they give you a lot less feedback on how much you are throwing off your aim. I got started with a subcompact carry gun, and I can definitely vouch for my aim getting better a lot faster when I got a target pistol, and again when I got a cheap red dot to try out on the target pistol - just because both changes gave me much more clear feedback on how little muscle movements were fucking up my aim, so I could train them out in practice.
