He had one of the largest personal gun collections ever. Second only to Heston iirc.

Old pic, but I bought this Pietta .22lr PPSh clone from him while he was still alive and he first started selling off some guns.
He had a huge interest in weird as fuck calibers so he had a huge collection of guns in very oddball calibers.
A bunch of his guns came up for sale again recently, although it looks like they are being sold off by his son as the papers that are being sent with the guns are signed by his son instead of James himself.

>owns an upper that would do better with a 7.62x39 lower.
>attaches it to a 5.56x45 lower

You can't make this shit up.

I'm kicking myself for passing on his Desert Tech SRS that was for sale a few years ago.
I think it was like $3800 and serial number 12 which means he must've gotten it like right when they started making them.
He also had a pristine Nickel-plated Colt Python from the 70's that ended up selling for like $3k.

Well, he is dead, so it would be pretty hard for him to sell them off himself.

Unless his soul is guiding the guns to rightful owners. Ever thought about that?

Being a prolific modern firearms collector while living in New York does odd things to a person.

But he specifically told me "I was never here."

Did he tell you the riddle of steel?

He had a more than a few of those, there's still 3 on sale on Checkpoint Charlie's. Wonder how much ammo he was sitting on, or if he was more into collecting vice shooting.
