advice for bringing this shotgun to a gunsmith? This was my 79 year old mentor's take down shotgun. He died recently leaving me with a huge pile of different guns that either dont work or are in pieces. The two halfs of the shotgun refuse to stay together, magazine tube slides freely out of its space. Is it too far to save and only a wall hanger or could it be made to shoot again?

The first time you try it, you might be a little uneasy, but after you’ve done it a few times it becomes easy peasy for you.
