legitimately why don't the ziggers just use these things?
they have maybe 10 or so of them already (optimistic count), but I'd wager even shitty stealth is better than no stealth.
localized air superiority would be a great boon tactically what with their meatgrinder land tactics i'd reckon, or is soviet air denial doctrine just too strong on both sides?

How do you use vapourware?

anon... if they had a stealthy multirole fighter capable of ground support and sead operations, they wouldn't be in the 4th year of a 3 day special military operation
>>
>>64965926
They're getting droned before they can takeoff
>>
Because, just like Armata, it would be a major blow to propaganda if it was lost.

It's a good question, Anon. Why aren't they using it? There are only a limited number of scenarios wherein it makes sense to not employ it in current operations, especially to eliminate Ukrainian air defence to enable the remaining aircraft to operate more effectively.

on the topic of shitty stealth
is the kf21 looking to be better than the su57 already?
>>
>>64965926
They are way more useful to Russia as demonstrators to drive export sales than being lost in combat and never selling any.
>>
>>64965982
Korea has done a good job building an arms industry and they win plenty of contracts, that said we don't know how corrupt the acceptance trails were until their stuff sees combat.
>>
>>64965926
How many times are you going to waste space in our board with these useless questions? They can't because there's not any of them for service. Same like the T14, there's barely any flying combat rules because Puccia will not risk them. The hyped Terminator got sent to Ukraine and it got blown off in its first engagement
>>
>>64966011
Was there any of the usual suspect russian vapor weapons that actually has seen legit combat in Ukraine and that hasn't either been dunked on or spectulary failed so hard it got memoryholed the second after it happened?
>>
>>64966026
S-400 does ok against 4th gens, can't protect itself from 5th gens as claimed.
Oreshnik MRBM actually worked when they finally got one ready for launch.
UMPK glide bomb kits are working well but are little more than a JDAM kit.

I'm trying to think of more but I can't, I guess the SA-15 did ok against larger drones but not hype worthy.
>>
>>64966011
>hyped Terminator died immediately
Someone please inform gaijin entertainment
>>
>>64966060
>S-400
Don't really provide any real advantages compared to what it was supposed to be capable off and to how rare and expensive it is. It needs to be too far behind the frontline to not get dunked on to be really effective.

>Oreshnik
It's a bit like a bigger and more expensive version of the V2.

>UMPK glide bomb kits
Only in the category because russian shilled even the most normal shit and because it didn't perform too bad. So meh.
>>
My god man at least with the Su-27 (the russian "not an f-15") they had that thing out and being produced in good numbers by less than ten year's time.

This "not an f-22" is 30 years late,
They have 32 not prototypes and promise maybe 35 more in 3 more years.
The pak fa has just been bad all the way around.
But hey at least it's not the tejas mk.2
>>
>>64965938
Very carefully (which is what Russia is doing)
>>
>>64966092
Anon I'm no Russian shill but S-300s and S-400s are why Ukraine isn't running CAS over the front. Russia likes to show off their CAP but in reality they can't afford the maintiance to run CAP 24/7.

>It's a bit like a bigger and more expensive version of the V2
Come on anon, you are smarter than that.

that's retarded, they were earning way more before the invasion and still failed epicly

>Anon I'm no Russian shill
Sorry if it sounded like i think you are.
>but S-300s and S-400s are why Ukraine isn't running CAS over the front
That's what i mean though, they can't bring the S-400 too close to the frontline, because everyone would either dick on it or make it a priority target, so it's main advantage of better radar and range becomes relative. The S-300 wasn't the subject.

>>It's a bit like a bigger and more expensive version of the V2
>Come on anon, you are smarter than that.
I meant in like the context of WW2: Big, fucking expensive weapon that is extremely hard to impossible to intercept. It does too little to make an actual change and if you scale it up til the point it does, it is just going to cannibalize resources away from stuff that would be more effective, or it would end with more Oreshnik related fuck ups than already happend.
>>
>>64965926
It doesn't have stealth, it's no more stealthy than most 4th gens made by actual humans
>>
>>64965926
They do. They just dont have to fly right above the target because they can lob things bvr

I'm going to laugh when Algeria uses them in actual combat before Russia does.
No, infrequently lobbing cruise missiles like a glorified missile truck a hundred plus miles from the Russian border does not count.
>>
>>64967669
Thats basically what the f35 does too.
WTF is wrong with you people?

Next you'll say all jets have to be supermaneuverable dogfighters.
>>
>>64965926
Imagine the memes if they lost one.
10% of their 5th gen fighters gone in a single mission
>>
>>64968127
>Thats basically what the f35 does too.
>flying deep into enemy IAD network is the same as "infrequently lobbing cruise missiles like a glorified missile truck a hundred plus miles from the Russian border"
Wtf is wrong with specifically you?
>>
>>64968208
Venezuela? Iran?
That these are so self-evident to me and yet you are still asking this question makes me think we are having some big disconnect with this conversation. Maybe we should address that?
>>
>>64965926
>legitimately why don't the ziggers just use these things?
Because it's not stealth so they can't operate it anywhere the ukies have air defenses.
>>
>>64968268
He's subhuman, don't engage earnestly, call him poor NOW.
>>
>>64965926
They are using them. Their primary role in Ukraine is launching cruise missiles.

I have been instructed to call you "poor." Consider yourself so informed.

>>
>>64965949
They would still need pilots capable of ground support and sead operations though.
>>
>>64968614
Why would the US attack itself?
>>
>>64965926
They use them according to Ukraine but it's just another vehicle to launch missiles without getting close to the frontline, not doing anything different compared to their other 4th gen aircrafts.
>>
Everything russia did after the soviet union was fake meme shit
>>
>>64969222
They are unironically just using it as a glorified P-8. No hate to the Poseidon intended, but it is what it is.
Also, nice digits.

Russian military might is an illusion, a carefully crafted propaganda serving a forward deterrence doctrine.
it was working pretty well so far, until Vladimir started to believe it.
