>>64967751Sent the Nemesis IV and UDT I got back. Yeah the bronze/apoc was "rarer" but kinda useless and I'd feel bad hotrodding a non stock model. UDT also kinda sucked with no way to lock the blade from opening so anything brushes that button and it'll snap open. Getting my intended order next week. Half heartedly thinking abouyt the triangle locking tab on the blade and how when you fire it you have to hold the button for the duration of the firing or else it would scratch the blade and how maybe triangular ramp would be better. Retracting the blade the locking tab would ride up the ramp and fall into place, and you could make the unlock tab a little shorter so once it cleared the top of the ramp, even if you let go, the top would be unlikely to reach the blade proper. But for realsies I have a really dumb fucking idea of trying to source a 2nd charging handle and still trying to let you put a small loop around it or something like that, with a sheath that has a button or hook so you could operate the knife 1-handed, hook the loop over the button or hook, and retract it without needing a 2nd hand. That and maybe a stronger spring with potentially a thin insert of rubber to stop damaging the frame at the top. Cause yeah when I played with the Nemesis I did get, it fired closer to a Benchmade Infidel almost 10 years without warranty service. Which is to say my dedicated box cutting benchmade from last thread.

Why isn't this "beaver" style skinning knife more popular? Seems pretty useful for both heavier tasks like deer but also useful for fish you'd generally skin rather than descale like halibut or catfish. It seems like basically a modern fish slicing knife you can reasonably pack with you.
