What are some slang terms/nicknames for guns you've heard? My dad always called his gun a killing machine which cracked me up as a kid. He didn't even go out and hunt.
>>64972703I genuinely have names for all my guns, I don't know why I started doing it but now instead of asking something like "would you like me to bring my SKS?" I say "Do you want to invite Nicky?"
>>64972734based. I haven't gone as far as giving them unique names but I treat the ones they have as real names.

>>64972703My coworker is a retired Gen-X Cop from Los Angeles California. He'll tell me stories of all the times when he was answering calls or raids with the swat teams with his pump shotgun which he referred to as his "Boomer". Which he only loaded with slugs. Only gun he ever used, him and his "Boomer". At first I didn't believe him especially in a world of AR's but his mates who are still in the LAPD come all the way out here to Arizona to meet up with him and get drinks with us and they all tell me:>Yeah Mike and his "Boomer" were always the first ones in.Dude inspired me to get this "Boomer". Next time his Cop friends are in town we are going to go shooting out in the desert and let him relive his "Boomer" days. I religiously call shotguns boomers now.
>>64972905A lot of cops who cut their teeth in the 70's and 80's generally stick to shotguns.
>>64972703Honestly, I've never heard a mature person use a nickname for their guns. They'd be booted out.
>>64972755Well initially it was named Nicholas after my brother who liked it a lot and it slowly became Nicky. Lot of my guns are named after family and friends
>>64972703Drawn Together called a handgun a Puerto Rican credit card and I consider that peak lingo.
