To answer your OP question, for me it's gotta be a S&W Model 27.
>>
>>64984483
It's a modern production Model 19. You can tell because it has the ejector shroud (indicating a magnum cartridge), adjustable sights, and a round butt with the flatter Altamont grip panels they put on their guns, although usually the 19 has a target "square butt conversion" grip so these must be aftermarket grip panels. Anon also put a grip adapter on it, likely a BK Grips black plastic adapter judging from the lack of reflection. I'm guessing anon conceal carries this gun judging by the grip setup.
>>
>>64984985

NTA, but I think it depends on what you want out of the cartridge. If it's simply having the biggest cartridge then sure, .500 is bigger than .460. But in practical terms--if you can say that about a bigass handcannon--the .460 wins easily. It's 95% of the power of the .500. It's superior if you want to shoot at longer ranges. It can fire .454 and .45 Colt as well if you want to go easy on the wrist and wallet.

That's not what it looks like anymore anon, and this isn't even what it'll look like next year. Glock is dead, literally the owner of the company died and now it's taken over by con artists that will milk the brand until it's dead within the next decade. Wouldn't even bother buying this because gen 7 will be out soon and then gen 7.5, so you better upgrade now and blow some more cash when the newest model comes out.

God look at this ugly piece of shit. They were already at rock bottom with the jamming scandals but damn this put them through the floor.

>Glock is dead, literally the owner of the company died and now it's taken over by con artists

TRVKE
Glocks new owner is a flaming liberal who, at 31 years old, married an 82 year old guy.
We've all seen this before.

And Gaston Glock was a documented, avid, America-hater, who advocated for strict gun control, and believed european gun laws, and euro-peons in general, to be superior to Americans.
And the person who now owns Glock is worse.

Fortunately for us Gaston did make an excellent gun.
Unfortunately for us Glock owners, the best days are behind us.

One of the few polymer stocked/framed guns I think are nice looking. I think even the earliest are plastic; I got it in my head they'd be fiberglass. Nope, aluminum chassis bolted to two plastic shell halves. Guess it still could be but the texture screams injection molded as best as I've been able to see. I doubt I'll ever own one but I can dream.

Checking those double dubs. I like the 19, but my fave would be a gen 3 or 4 roland special. Just looks good with the dot, kkm comp, and x300. Getting a grey 19.5 mos soon, but might get a cheap used gen 3 or 4 to fancy up for a range gun. I know people carry the rolands, but pretty much everyone that has one says you need to shoot heavier grain/higher pressure loads to get it to cycle properly and or use a lighter recoil spring. I don't wanna carry something that might be finicky with my typical carry loads.

>>64999646
Somewhat agree. The gen 6 is ugly, and for me offers nothing over previous gens. Plus you have to have a tool to press down the new extractor assembly to remove it, and the part you press down on is plastic. I would hate to have that break somehow during assembly/reassembly and have my gun pretty much dead until I could replace it. Plus I'm just a bit spiteful with the gen 6 since it carries over some features from the V series where the company kowtowed to anti gunners and made changes to the design to appease them, only for it to be made pointless within four or five days by a literal random guy fiddling with it in his garage lol. I wonder what the next gen, if there is one, will bring with it.

Another for me is the Mini-14. I don't know what it is but they just look so neat. Regular wood stock model has to have the plastic heat shield and the clamp/pinned front sight, though. And any with the A-TM stock needs the normal plastic heat shield and clamp/pinned front sight as well. May prefer the A-TM in black oddly. I have a really stupid want for the .300 black model with a silencer and barrel length like the stainless one in pic. I know the action is stupid loud on these (I'm like 90% sure the loud ass clanky sounding Saints Row 2 pistols use a Mini's action noise for SFX for example) but damn if the idea won't leave my head. Oh also other than wood quality and finish quality/color, Samson > Falcon. The wood on a Falcon is nice. The finish is that orange-ish yellow colored poly you'd expect. But the pistol grip on a Samson looks so much less silly than the hacked up A1 looking thing they have on the Falcons. I just can't unsee it.

It's no Venus d'Milo, but this is easily the sexiest polymer, striker-fired model. Known for their often clunky, yet practical, cast designs, Ruger really outdid themselves with this one. Well done!
>>
>>65015135
I used to think the RXM was super ugly, but after I handled one I softened up on it a little bit. Eventually I got one in FDE and I love it. Once you shoot with it, all the little design features feel very smart and it comes in at a great price point. Easily one of my favorite pistols I've ever owned. I will say Ruger should work on the finish they put on the parts though, the barrel finish is already rubbing off after a low round count

All of the modded parts are made of the cheap stamped steel. It's the exact opposite. It's a crude weapon for a more desperate age.

Colt should just make a version of this gun using 5.7 x 28, or 4.6 x 30 since the originally intended cartridge was similar in size.
Make the guns for the collectors market, maybe with a forced reset trigger.
