i have never used a fore grip, but isn't this one way too small or is it a fore grip for babies?
>>
>>64975527
in the off-hand shooting stance it’s usually held more like an angled foregrip than a traditional vertical one. I see a lot of people hold thumb over bore with it
>>
This really is the armys fault. Fuck siggers, that goes without saying, but this is a stupid solution to a stupid problem created by stupid program requirements.
>>
>>64975510
Huh. New varieties already? Kinda neat actually. I kinda look forwards to when it reaches its A2 equivalent. That’s always when the US military firearms hit their high points it seems.
>>
>>64975510
>New American rifle
>It's just fatter AR
who wrote this shit?
>>
>>64975546
Hoping the A2 variant is the cancellation of this rifle
>>
>>64975510
Does the muzzle device converts lead into energy ball?
>>
>>64975510
It looks shit.
>>
>>64975546
This is already the second revision. OP's pic shows the first revision from 4 or 5 months ago.
>>
>>64975510
Is this elite warfare soldier really using the muzzle on a free floated firearm to brace his shots? And resting it on the suppressor at that? While holding an AFG like a VFG? What even is this picture?
>>
>>64975510
>just another AR platform clone.
Bros I'm so tired. I'm so tired. Innovation and creativity is dead in the gun world.

Go to hell.
>>
>>64975711
it's a discombobulator
>>
>>64975527
it's for c-clamping but then you don't really want to c-clamp a piston gun

inb4 >small hands
no u
>>
>>64975527
this pog doesn't shoot rifle on the regular, please be nice to him
>>
>>64975711
Apparently they are extremely effective suppressors but because the Army has not formally procured them that photo was removed from DVIDS.

Wtf is that muzzle device

It's one of these.
>>
>>64976125
M7 was already a carbine designation, though. Shouldn't they be calling the 13" version the M17 Rifle and the 10" version the M7 Carbine?
>>
>>64976067
>doesn't shoot rifle on the regular
Clearly, he's using the fucking suppressor as a bench rest.
Was there nobody present to say "hey retard don't do that"?
>>
>>64975510
>M7 means the MCX is adopted as a carbine
>XM8 is a carbine
How the fuck do you have a carbine of a carbine?

I will never forgive them for letting SIG pay everyone off. TV was the only reasonable choice
>>
>>64976266
>TV was the only reasonable choice
The GD/TV gun was garbage and never should have even made it to the second round of the competition. Of the three competitors, Textron was the only one that made any amount of sense, but the correct choice would have been to abandon the project and just adopt TV's ammo for the M4.
>>
>>64976275
>>64976266
The TV gun was excellent but was more than twice the cost of SIG's gun.
>>
>>64976241
>>64976266
is the M4 a rifle since the mk 18 exists?
>>
>>64976318
Seems unlikely, given that TV was planning to sell the civilian model for the same price Sig sells their civilian model.
>>
>>64976345
>planning
The expense might be why that didn’t happen.
>>
>>64976358
I'd guess it has more to do with the fact that they were going to have Beretta make them if they won the contract, but it wouldn't have been worthwhile for them to tool up for mass production just to sell one to Ian so he can talk about how shit it is in a few years. Instead they can just hand him the prototype so redditors can reminisce about what could have been if the Army chose a even worse rifle than the one they did.
>>
>>64976345
SIG charging civilians an exorbitant amount for its guns is well established.
>>
>>64976447
Fortunately, TV doesn't care about profits at all and they're generously giving away their non-reloadable, plastic, bulk-quality ammo to civilians for 400 cpr.
>>
>>64976459
This is where you tell us how much TV was going to sell their gun to civies for.
>>
>>64976266
Literally every gun should be using the TV ammo, it's a straight upgrade in ammunition design.
>>
>>64976339
The mk18 is under an entirely separate procurement system since it's a navy gun.
