Supernova could not be a more accurate description of this shotgun.

Pump action beauty personified!
>>
>>64997413
Part of me wants to call it silly and part of me thinks its beautiful.
>>
>>64997413
I think the construction of it is neat and priced well
But I have a mossy 500 that does exactly the same thing from a practical point of view, so I have yet to buy one
>>
>>64997413
>>64997610
My buddy has a SN and I had a 500 with the heat shield and ghost rings. His gun was built like a tank and shot nicer but was also heavier and the ghost ring sights on the mossberg were easier to acquire than the three dots on the supernova. A supernova with an aimpoint micro is the best but without an optic I'd sooner take the 500
>>
>>64997413
Wish they brought the nova speed over to the US.
>>
>>64997413
My supernova is probably the worst gun I have ever owned.
>>
Unironically gets mogged by a vrpa-40
>>
>>64998349
The vrpa is just another rebranded turkshit IED.

>look at my pump gun
>rifle sights
gay. also, Shiina owns a supernova, phone poster. She own's 2 because I think she bought an 18.5 inch barrel first or something weird and it was cheaper just to buy a used gun than to buy a second barrel
>>
Is this the designated shotgun thread? How much would you guys say an 870 Marine Magnum Police is worth? Only one I can find anywhere is on gunbroker for $1500.
>>
>>64998662
do you own a vrpa?
>>
Help me decide between a pump action and a semi for my first shotgun lads. I own an AR and Glock already so I’m just looking to round out the “big 3”
>>
>>64999100
What’s your budget?
>>

>btw let me launch into some tranime vtuber(?) tangent for no fucking reason

I saw a Benelli Nova LE on gun.deals for a bit over $500, I was tempted. I already have a 1301 LE though.
>>
>>64999204
Budget is flexible, I’m willing to save up more for the best bang for buck. Currently got about 2k
>>
>>64999414
you dont need to save more 2k is enough to pick what you want unless we include doubles.
best bang for buck is a mav 88 but you have the budget to skip it entirely. hell youve got enough to skip all pumps.
if you settle for a mav 88 because its the best bang for the buck its like going for a 1998 honda civic with 200k miles on it when you actually can afford a hellcat.
>>
>>64999678
Fair point, I guess I’m just not sure if it’s worth it to buy a cheaper pump and throw some shit on it or if the semis are strictly upgrades.
>>
>>64997413
The forend looks ugly.
>>

>I guess I’m just not sure if it’s worth it to buy a cheaper pump and throw some shit on it or if the semis are strictly upgrades.
for fucking around a pump can be funner but for all practical shooting reasons semis better (except cost and ammo)
you arent firing the random assortment of crap ammo or retarded shit that a pump will eat.
you might enjoy pumping more than just pulling a trigger but a lot of it is cope cause they settled for a cheaper option.
you dont need a practical pump to just to fill a hole. you have an ar and a glock if shtf you arent going to be carrying the shotgun too. just get something nice to shoot.
>>
>>64999748
Solid points anon, as for semis I was torn between an LTT 1301 and a M4
>>
>>64999764
both of those are solid choices cant go wrong unless you need the money for something else in your life like rent.
>>
>>64999414
>Glock, AR, now shotgun
Okay, so defensive tactical leaning. Honestly the Mossberg 940 Pro SPX are supposed to be pretty great. But the 1301 is in your price range too, and that seems to be the current gold standard of tactical shotguns.
>>
>>64999764
Whichever one you can get a hold of easier, I went with a 21" 1301 comp as my first shotgun because I got it for $1100 which is basically impossiible for an M4. Rent or at least handle each of them if possible, if you have a Scheel's nearby they'll probably have both and you can just grab them off the display.
My 1301 is my second favorite gun I own and I don't regret it one bit (though I do often get the urge to rent the M4 that my local range has just to see what it's all about)
>>
>>64999269
shiina is a woman and a female chinaman and the only thing I think of when I think of a benelli nova is that she has one. I have a 500 retrograde which was dumb because I ended up getting the 28 inch barrel and replacing the stock with boyds one that has adjustable LoP and Comb but has a kind of annoying rotating problem because it doesn't have the tab like the factory stock and also the grip is gay because it's squared off instead of oval like a normal grip, also mossbergs have shitty triggers, also I don't love the foregrip because it's way our forward on the mag tube in narnia instead of close to the receiver like the benelli nova, you faggot
Also not even a height thing, every other modern shotgun has the foreend way closer to the shooter than mossberg and the button adjustable LoP is nice for if you are shooting during a jacket like hunting in shit weather
>>
>>64999362
why bother? ARs are less of an overpen risk than 00
>>64999730
they look like shit, but are functionally decent because they let you have your arm closer to your core which is less fatiguing
>>
>>65000224
With a shotgun I can put 8 or 9 holes in a lunchtime rowdie and no one complains. Not lawyers, not cops, not even Democrats. Try that with any other firearm.
>>
>>64998733
Anon, anime characters aren't real.
>>
>>65000224

I enjoy shooting it and am not worried about over penetration. I don't live in some cramped apartment, it's not something I'm super concerned about.
>>
>>64998733
they're for slugs
I think there was even a short-lived meme going around when supernova was introduced about using rifle sights for tactical shotguns
>>
>>64997413
>no wood
>>
>>65000531
I don't disagree with having the sights for slugs and buckshot because you are basically using it as a rifle at that point. I just disagree with using a shotgun for slugs and buckshot unless you're in a shotgun durr area since ARs have a lower overpen risk and are better
>>
I have one. I like it. A very sturdy gun. Beware the pump motion length is rather long because of the 3,5" chamber and its not as smooth as say Remington because the Nova bolt locks with rotating bolt face.
>>
>>64997413
Meh, I think the ergonomics are weird and prefer my 590
