Just spent the last day finally finger fucking one of these. From an engineering perspective it is cracked.>creative, unique striker system due to space limitations. For instance, the disconnector is actuated by a cut in the slide>Managed to make it locked breech and have all of the standard safeties you'd expect from a striker fired gun>The size cannot be articulated until able you hold it in hand. It makes micro-9's like the 43x and shield plus feel like full sized steel frame wonder-9s when held side by side. It's smaller than a Glock 42 for fucks sake>full firing grip which still doesn't make any sense to my brain. They cut the slide height down so much that overall height is that of a two-finger gun, but you can build a full grip on it. Bore axis is as low as those $5k meme guns tier>these are honorable mentions but good sights, good slide serrations, good grip texture, adequate trigger and $350 new goes a long way.Big props to the design team. A pocket gun that simultaneously has 13 rounds of .380 and a full-sized grip is literally the most retardedly insane thing I can't emphasize that enough. If they could make one in .32 with like 13 rounds flush it would probably be the greatest firearm made this century.Unfortunately, it has Smith & Wesson levels of QC.
How many more times are you going to start this thread?NO. ONE. FUCKING. CARES.
>>65003057I haven't made a thread about this gun before and I'm actually a resident glock shill thoughbeit
NTA but that's a demonstrably false statement
>>65003044question, if you could have any firearm you want in .32acp or .30supercarry, why would you choose the .32?
>>6500307830 super carry is superior to 9mm but it's a dead round so I don't want it.32 is superior to .380 and it's slightly less dead. 32 FMJ is the perfect balance of meeting FBI penetration tests and being smaller in diameter so you can jam more rounds in there. It's a good "get off me" cartridge. the engineering concern is rimmed case in a 1.5 stack
>>65003078wat? it's a .380.
Does it come in 9mm Dillon or .460 Rowland?
>>65003059>thoughbeitAre you even old enough to own guns?
Ok. What gun is that specifically so I can look it up?
>>65003044>half an inch slimmer than a Beretta 84 (probably because polymer frame and no grip panels)>same capacity>also actually shorter as wellThe fuck? How bad does it feel to shoot?
>>65003044I own one and it's the best gun I've ever owned. No reason to carry anything else.
>>65003044At no point during your post did you name the pistol in question. What is it? Not all of us (well most of us are, which is why I like it here) are turbo autists that can identify every polymer striker fired pistol ever made.Cute lil guy.
>>65003057This isn't the usual one, anon, I'm too drunk for that tonight.
>>65003166>Ok. What gun is that specifically so I can look it up?>>65003334>At no point during your post did you name the pistol in questionlooks like the SW Bodyguard 2.0 in 32 auto
>>65003078Because 32ACP is still be produced.>>65003203Very fun to shoot, not nearly as soft as that Beretta though. It's the best lightweight pocket-sized 380, but that's not saying much really. People who like tiny guns lose their fucking minds over it because they've got trash to choose from, who wouldn't carry the scaled down M&P over an LCP or a fucking Seecamp?
>>65003044>Smith & Wesson levels of QCDoes this mean meh fit and finish or spotty performance?
>>65003420>oops we left a lip on the end of the feedramp, sure hope everyone uses round-nose FMJ.>oops we installed the front sight off by a foot at 10yds, sure hope nobody minds us shipping them this way for the first year.>oops we designed a captive recoil spring that can easily be installed wrong and bind the slide or fuck the spring, better quietly replace them with a new design whenever they come in, just be sure not to tell anyone about it.>oops ~10% of our 12rd mags have a follower that binds if you fully load it, guess we didn't learn our lesson on that one. It's just teething issues, really fucking pathetic teething issues.
>>65003203I almost think it recoils a tiny bit less than the 84 but I should shoot them back to back again, also my 84 has aftermarket grips that are narrower and my grip is probably retarded.
So why should I buy this over a P365? How do the ballistics of .380 compare to 9mm?
>>65003757Sig
>>65003757its way smaller. the p365 is not a pocket gun, this is.
>>65003757Go to lgs, hold both, realize that they're not in the same category.
>>65003757If you want to IWB a gun get the P365, if you want a pocket gun get this. They're 2 different types of guns really even though both are slim.
>>65003078.32acpsmall size, low recoil, and just enough power to kill you deadi'd honestly carry .22lr/.22wmr, if not for it's poor reliabilityand if i'm not carrying a .32, i'm carrying my 10mm instead
>>65003759Sure Sig is shit, but the P365 is probably the best 9mm CCW out there right now>>65003786>>65003792>>65003771I understand it’s smaller. How do the ballistics compare? I’ve never really considered getting a pocket gun vs a IWB carry. Worth it?
>>65003866Ones a 9mm capable of handling +P+, the other's a .380. You either compromise for power/good hollowpoints or for overall size.
>>65003044Agreed (and have said for awhile) Bodyguard 2.0 is a quantum leap in tiny pistols. A pocket handgun you can actually grasp and shoot. S&W did an excellent job engineering Honey I Shrunk The Shield.as to QC I don't own any of the recent S&W semiauto pistols but, in handling them at firearm retailers their slide finishes have improved to almost HK tier. (Wrt the recent BG2.0 itself, perhaps ? some of the issues are from it being a new design... iirc the early Shields also had problems a decade ago)
>>65003059>thoughbeitFuck off back to plebbit double nigger.
>>65003203>How bad does it feel to shootshoots like a dream nigga... it's fuckin .380 afterall

>>65003078.30 SC is for 9mm sized guns. The only "new" introductions in the relevant power class were NAA's .32 and .25 but they never went anywhere
>>65003057>thread about weapons>"NOONE CARES"sit and spin
>>65003757sw feels better than sig IMO and more rugged somehow>>65003889sw qc on their revolvers is dogshit. the shield line (not ez) and this bodyguard are solid
>>65003044I held one for the first time the other day. I was blown away by the size as well. Cash is kinda tight right now (I'm going back to school full-time) and I haven't gotten around to getting my CC permit since moving to a new state last fall (also in large part due to being in school full-time, where I'd get fucked if I got caught carrying) but it's really tempting, even my Shield Plus looks and feels huge compared to the BG and being able to pocket carry instead of dealing with an uncomfortable IWB is very attractive.
>>65003757Get the .380 365. It sucks dog shit to shoot in 9mm
>>65005113The 365 is my favorite micro 9mm to shoot its incredibly easy to shoot all day. Gun seems to overheat and get too hot for me before I have any issues with my hands getting beaten up by the gun.
>>65003044>this 500 dollar peak design is better than glockshit>too bad its not gucci like a 4 thousand dollar 1911nah. its peak because its 500 dollars and better than the glock 43. they completely took the size out of the slide and put it in the handle.S&W keeps putting glock trannies in check as the default best pistol for anyone.
>>65003392.380acp>>65003757.380 penetrates less than 9mm and HP rounds don't open as reliablythe bodyguard 2.0 is nicer to shoot than a a 365 and follow up shots will be easier, micro 9s are jumpy as hell
>>65003078>recoils the same as 9mm>has a 52k psi chamber pressure which has to be incredibly enjoyable in a sub 3” carry gun barrel>50% increase in pressure over 9mm>37% increase in pressure over 9mm+PThe fact you even asked that question shows you’ve never shot a .32 or .30SC. I’d bet a lot of money you’ve never fired a pistol. Why didn’t you ask why they chambered it in .380 and not 9x19?
>>65005315If you're taking shots with a pocket piece at ranges greater than about 25ft, you're doing it wrong. Inside that range, the energy dump on 9mm low-rent enough to control in a micro-piece and a .380 is negligible. .380 is plenty good for belly-busting.
>>65004744>revolversI only trust pre-1990s S&W revolvers.
>>65003044How does this compare size wise to a Kahr p380?That's what I currently carry.Still locked breech, striker fired. It's only single stack, and the bore axis is almost certainly higher, but the thing is extremely lightweight and is only .72" thick.
>>65004157>I shall be sure to incorporuse itIf they are easily offended, they should be!

>>65006335That and (You) know what I meant.
>>65006335>greentextI didn't post that. (You) know what I meant.
>>65006334>>65006339Thanks for that. I do have to say the kahr has a pretty rough grip, it's kind of a pain in the ass to get used to. Having more than 7 rounds would be nice too, as well as a lower bore axis.I do have to say I'm super impressed it's only ~.10 inches wider and just about the same weight, that's really impressive. It's bigger in every dimension, but not by a whole lot.I might have to stop by a shop and see if they've got one I can touch for a bit to see how I like it.
>>65006380after 2 fingering you kahr, the bg2.0 ergos are going to blow your mindbut it wont fit a coat pocket as nice
>>65003757So you can stop being a dirty dirty sigger. Also it’s a completely different niche. The P365 and similar are small, IWB guns. The bodyguard 2.0 is a true pocket pistol.
>>65003044Does it come with a little purse?
>>65003044Finally got mine out to the range the other day. Annoyingly I seemed to pick a day where everyone local was running low on .380 (Academy had nothing but defensive loads) but it ran the measly 100 rds I could get ahold of flawlessly. Sights were right on target as well, so I guess I got lucky with the Smiff QC on mine. Can confirm this is a nice gun to shoot despite its size and weight. I know it's only .380, but it was less snappy than my P365XL, which is nearly double the weight of the BG2.0.
These finally came to California so I’m stoked to get my hands on one once they start shipping. I’ve been carrying my m&p 2.0 for a while now so a pocket carry option is pretty exciting, especially considering that we don’t have many options for those here. Now I’m just wondering if it’s worth getting a microcompact (p365/shield plus/hellcat) to make IWB carrying more comfortable. Is the difference in comfort that significant between a compact handgun and a slim microcompact?
>>65005552Ive shot the .30 sc shield plus back to back with the 9mm, and it has less recoil but not by much. Higher pressure in a smaller diameter, id bet a lot of money youve never touched a .30 sc but will talk about it all day when its mentioned saying stuff youve heard from other people who also never touched one
>>65003044this looks retarded enough to check out irl
>>65007950It's pretty huge, my Shield Plus is night and day vs. my G19. (You can tell I'm an ex-califag myself from the Gen 3 kek.)
>>65003078Because what the fuck even is .30supercarry
>>65007957>and it has less recoil but not by muchYeah, so basically the same. Like I said. The muzzle blast and noise will be worse but I’m not sure that even matters. >you havent shot itCorrect. I haven’t. And most people haven’t because it’s a solution looking for a problem. Because it doesn’t apply to the BG 2.0 I excluded my normal >costs twice as much>only two guns chambered in it>one of them is a $3900 NighthawkNo wonder nobody shoots it. I can tell you aren’t the same guy I responded to, because if you shot .30SC you’d know you could never compare it to .32 ACP. Call me a hypocrite if you want, but I don’t need to shoot .30SC to see there’s no point. I can gain 3 rounds vs 9mm but diminishing returns on mag capacity kicks in at some point. 7 vs 10 is more impactful than 10 vs 13. I can already carry 11+1 in my Hellcat, that’s plenty. I using carry a P32 anyhow. Why would I get a new, more expensive, less supported caliber for at best the same performance (being generous) and carrying a few more rounds I’ll never need. I can also shoot 147gr 9mm suppressed which is really fun. Subsonic .30 SC doesn’t exist. If it did, it would be fairly pointless and worse than subsonic 9mm. You need the speed to make it perform similar to 9mm.
>>65008746Damn thats a big difference. I’m probably gonna pick one up in the future as well then, I really am a gunsoomer lol
>>65005294It's a really good design. The S&W M&P series is steadily improving from two decades ago overall. Glocks (even the 42 which was decent for what it was, a tiny glock) are dinosaurs
>>65003044>The size cannot be articulated until able you hold it in hand. It makes micro-9's like the 43x and shield plus feel like full sized steel frame wonder-9s when held side by side. It's smaller than a Glock 42 for fucks sake Yeah it feels unreal how small this thing is>good sightsI want to add a caveat that I found some have off zeroed sights from the factory. You'll need to send it back if you're unlucky
>>65005294>its peak because its $350 and it's better than a glock 42.ftfy
>>65014401>some have off zeroed sights from the factory. You'll need to send it backthe absolute state of /k/
>>65007905no need, it will fit your prison wallet just fine.
>>65009956The pic really doesn't do it justice either, especially in terms of thickness, it's like a modern smartphone vs. an old flip phone compared to the Glock.I will say though, if you want to get one, be aware that the trigger is kinda weird out of the box and the safety will lock if you pull too high. You can work it out with a bunch of dry firing or some people take a file to the little "ledge" that catches, or you can just get an aftermarket trigger, but it's something to know about.
>>65003044Initially we got one for my wife and I like it so much I bought one for myself. Two additional cool features of it especially for my wife who is fairly new to handguns is the added safety features of you can rack the slide and eject bullets even with the gun's safety still engaged if you have the thumb safety version. This is fantastic for clearing malfunctions safely and also for my wife operating it comfortably since it's her first handgun. Also it's pretty cool that they designed it so you break it down without needing to pull the trigger at all, and you can do so even with the safety still engaged. There's just a paddle you depress while the slide is locked back for field stripping

>>65023166iirc XTPs in 380. hornady and fiochi have loads for them, among others I think holding modern handgun rounds to a 40 year old government standard is kind of silly though. bad guys aren't calculating penetration and expansion when they get hit
>>65023191Yeah the XTPs can, but it’s not a guarantee. Plus if you add heavy clothing, bone, etc I seriously question it.
