K2 Black Panther is just slightly better than the Challenger II. Other than that very mid tank
>>
It's not a video game. It's not a numbers comparison.
>>
Bold new strategy warriortard

I've heard the K2 is good for mountain warfare, something about its unique "In-Arm Suspension System" (IASS).

No wonder why Turkey bought it, but kind of weird why Poland bought it and Norway didn't.

>K2 Black Panther is
A bad copy of a 1990's Leopard 2A4, yes.
>better than the Challenger II
The Challenger II is the worst western tank, terrible underpowered engine, overweight armor, rifled gun with slip rings for the fin stabilized APFSDS ammo ... like you might as well pick on a retarded child.

>No wonder why Turkey bought it
Lack of options due to sanctions.
>but kind of weird why Poland bought it
Poland tried to scam off ukraine and get free tanks first, were told to fuck off.
Then wanted Leopard 2 instantly, skip line infront of other customers, were told to fuck off.
Then wanted workshare for Leopard 3 while having nothing but a tractor factory building soviet tier diesel engines to contribute, were told to fuck off and laughed at.
They then pissed off GD by begging for free abrams and now had no choice but to crawl to the gooks.
>and Norway didn't.
Norway has money and isn't retarded. They look at the market and buy the best. Which is Leopard ofc.

Completely different philosophy. More like it's a refined version of K1 that was already in service, which was derived from Chrysler's XM1 prototype.

At least, K2 doesn't need to worry about getting penetrated by an RPG from the front and also it's not fitted with an underpowered 1200hp engine.

All the internal components are copies of old Leopard components.
I mean yes, this is a different philosophy, the philosophy of "let's steal outdated tank technology from Germany" instead of "let's develop our own"
>>
>>65005180
The K2 is just an enlarged K1 with a V12 and autoloader plus updated tech. The K1 itself is literally the original Chrysler Abrams prototype but with a German V8 and made in Korea.

Ffs its you again.
No, unless you consider "having a gun and sights" as copying.
Have you ever been within a mile of either vehicle?

Are you a buttmad gook or what?

The first 100 tanks used the original german MTU 883 engine, then they put in their DV27K which is basically an exact copy.
They tried to copy the RENK HSWL 295 TM but it was unreliable, they still buy it, but they attempted a copy with the SNT EST15K
The KM256 gun is a copy of the US M256 which is a licensed copy of the Rheinmetall 120L/44.
The CN08 L55 is a copy of the Rheinmetall 120L/55.

Pull up pictures of each part, they look identical.
Piston diameter on the engine is identical to the milimeter, so is the stroke, they didn't even hide on such obscurer specs.
Blatant copies.
>>
>>65005549
CN08 L55 is it's own thing. The mount weight alone is ridiculous in the weight difference. Im sure the Koreans were heavily inspired and outright stole design cues, but it's like saying the Mini14 is a copy of the M14.

Tanks are obsolete weapons platforms, you might as well be comparing battleship cannon size.
>>
>>65005549
>DV27K

The DVK engine is very different. It's a long stroke optimized for torque due to needing to be used in mountains while the MTU is a shortstroke design which is focused on continuous use at WOT

Only thing this really speaks to is the crews incompetence/complacency in allowing some rag heads to drag that 40lbs hunk of shit into a firing position and then getting close enough for them to accurately get a shot off without blasting them first. The RPG29 is powerful if you can actually use it and it's not shocking that it was capable of penning the lower glacis of a tank considering it's rated has having similar pennetration characteristics of heat-fs shells for the 120 and 125mm. Heat isn't dead for tank on tank, it just isn't preferred since sabot has a much better time on target and better post pen effect. Bro losing only a foot is enough to let you know that
>>
>>65005813
An enemy easily adapts to armor and always has. This doesn’t mean armor has always been obsolete. It means tactics need to adapt. A tank is just a cog in a machine.
>>
>>65005549
The Hyundai DV27 has a way longer stroke and literally weighs 1000 pounds more. It's less efficient but less maintenance intensive.
>>
>>65005180
Its slightly better than the challenger II which is like saying im slightly smarter than the most retarded kid in class.
>>
>>65005180
And what you say is, that all of that was revealed to you in a dream?!

It's one of the best MBT's in the world right now, especially in terms of cost efficiency. Maybe overkill for its target audience (shitty North Korean T-62 derivatives).
