Only 10k, should I do it?
>Cockpit is to small for 300lbs pilot.
>>
>>65006068
>too small for 300lbs pilot.
Sorry, Herr Reichsmarschall.
>>
>>65006068
>Cockpit is to small for 300lbs pilot
That means it's actually too small for a 250lbs pilot too, he just thinks you'll be dumb enough to go "I can squeeze in there no problem".
>>
>>65006068
if you have to ask here you are utterly unqualified to overtake this project. I have a PhD in aviation (granted the robotics and automation part) and I wouldn't trust myself in a plane I built. There's just too many variables for you to control and I wouldn't trust this guy to have done a good job since he's fat, he can't even maintain his body
>>
>>65006068
>IO-540
Lol.
Lmao.
>>
This essentially being sold for scrap value.

If it's really what he claims it is, then it's a great deal, but since it's being sold this cheap, he's probably lying about something.

>>65006091
at least one Jurca MJ-8 1-Nine-0 is known to have used the IO-540.
>>
>>65006068
Are you able to like, actually go in person, and do you know enough to know what you'd be looking at (or not)? Do you have the ability to move it yourself and somewhere appropriate to keep and work on it? Because like this anon >>65006101 says:
>If it's really what he claims it is, then it's a great deal, but since it's being sold this cheap, he's probably lying about something.
I have gotten fantastic deals on in-person stuff I was able to get myself, it's not impossible since sometimes people just really want/need to get rid of something that nobody else in the area wants and would be super expensive to deal with, and/or they might not fully recognize the value of themselves. But just as likely there is some major issue or BS. Only way to know is to go in person and make the call.
>>
>>65006101
The listing makes it sound like it doesn't come with an engine, so there's more money to spend before it's airworthy.
>>
>>65006117
I mostly thought it was funny someone was selling a Fw-190 on fb marketplace, I have no intention of buying it
>>
OP, that's a half-scale replica of a FW190.
It's not a real one.
>>
>>65006127
Googled the registration-

>very well built
next sentence
>gear failure/belly landing
>>
>>65006068
>"BUILT FROM ORIGINAL BLUE PRINTS"
= not actually original.
>25'8" wing span
>21'6" long
real thing was 34'6" wingspan and 29'4" long.

so this is just a replica op. maybe has some value to an expert maybe worth nothing but beyond scrap would have to go and look at the specific internal bits
>>
>>65006131
Lmao this fat retard even drew the windmill
>>
>>65006123
No shit, the engine it lists is like $30-50k
>>
>>65006134
It's the 75% replica, the >>65006101
>Jurca MJ-8 1-Nine-0
>>
>>65006134
>>65006155
There is also a 60% replica kit.
>>
>>65006155
It’s still A) not an actual FW-190, B) probably put together by bubba in his garage, and C) crashed.
It’s worth about as much as the scrapyard would give you.
>>
>>65006123
>>65006152
Just convert it to electric :D
>>
>>65006171
Also, it’s not a Jurca. The only example in the US flew under the tail number N190JK and was destroyed.
It’s almost certainly a home built with WAR produced plans. Which is, you know, how it’s registered.

This thing is as much as a fw190 as those kit cars are a Lamborghini. Hard pass
>>
>>65006185
Anon, it's based on the Jurca blueprints.
>>
>>65006078
You squeeze it, no need for seatbelts!

>more money to spend before it's airworthy.
Buying an engine does not make it air WORTHY.

A rear engine, Volkswagen-Lambo has many advantages and is more desirable than the og money pit, like cheaper insurance, wise guy.

Do you have any proof?

His measurements for the length and wingspan almost exactly match the 75% jurca model to the inch.
>>
>>65006068
>gear failure on landing caused damage
Oh boy.

Where are the wings? Where is the horizontal stabilizer on the tail? Where is the engine and propeller?
>>
>>65006138
It's in the U.S., you can do that.
>>
>>65006241
>gear failure on landing caused damage
>Where is the engine and propeller?
My guess? "Scrap".
Sudden stoppage repairs on a Lycoming IO 540 get expensive, fast

The prop probably looks like someone saw a Hartzell Q tip and said "hold my beer" while firing up a front end loader.
>>
>>65006243
so ?
>>
>>65006077
Sounds like plane is 75% scale replica. I wonder if 75% scale reichsmarschall would fit in?
>>
>>65006133
Real German planes were notorious for those too, it's just an accurate model

Indicating it took off, flew, and got to the runway again, and the owner lived. That's not a given in aviation.
>>
>>65006681
You're going to be Lmao'ing your way through aviation museums it seems.
